  1. You've got a point there but no proper sponsor would terminate the contract because of one poor weekend... There are reports that their twitter account could have been hacked. But at any case, this "Rich Energy" was shady from the very beginning, nobody knows who they are and where the money is coming from (IF Haas actually got any money yet), it's just a solo bearded guy, the drinks that they are supposed to be selling aren't really available anywhere, they stole a logo of Whyte Bikes and are in court because of that, so if this termination of contract is true, it's probably because they are trying to hide their dodgy financials from the court.
  2. Absolutely possible given the way that Frank "Poker Face" Baumann deals in the transfer market
  3. Pressure on Gasly grows. https://f1i.com/news/347240-marko-no-cracks-in-gaslys-rb15-so-its-time-to-deliver.html
  4. Yeah... Gregoritsch was Kohfeldt's preferred player and he also wanted to join us it seems, but Augbsurg's demands are just too much for us. Especially given that we already spent money on Füllkrug and Friedl, and are apparently looking for a defensive midfielder and a fullback still.
  5. Deal... although it might take me longer than that depending on my work load...
  6. I sadly only managed to catch a few glimpses this year as I had a busy weekend so missed most of it except the official presentation of the new Porsche 911 RSR for the next season... And of course the Beast of Turin never fails to disappoint!
  7. Hmmm that wouldn't be a fair deal then...Alright I'll give you a few other options to choose from then: Westworld Missions (I think it's relatively unknown and maybe hard to find - it's this one: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6445112/) The Expanse Wayne Cobra Kai
  8. So Grujic decided to stay at Hertha instead. We reportedly agreed terms with Gregoritsch already; still need to reach an agreement on a transfer fee with Augsburg.
  9. Hehe what if I made you rewatch LOST?
  10. Honda targets faster qualifying mode as "next step". https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/honda-qualifying-mode-boost-target/4490133/ Planned for Monza apparently.
  11. Nah; never made it past episode 5 or 6... Twice. It's just too weird and too trippy for me.
  12. I personally loved the ending as well and didn't find it unsatisfactory... And yeah it's definitely a character-driven show. I just couldn't get into Leftovers... I tried hard to like it, but just couldn't
  13. I loved LOST and still haven't found anything similar to it... A lot of other LOST fans seemed to really like The Leftovers; I personally couldn't stand it. There's a relatively new series called Manifest that is a bit similar but it's just decent and not even close to LOST in terms of quality. Fringe gets recommend often to LOST fans but I haven't seen it yet. Westworld is definitely a good call (as mentioned by @RandoEFC).
  14. Sounds good; will definitely check it out.
  15. Toto Wolff casually driving the legendary W 196, the car that helped Fangio and Mercedes to their first F1 title.

  18. Oh I'm not complaining at all; I've been looking for something similar to watch before bed after work! Something lighthearted and not too much to think about; so it's perfect for me...
  19. Just watched the first episode, it's proper silly but in a good way
  20. Just watched it too and I thought it's a good light hearted silly flick. 7/10
  21. Tom Horn (1980) I love Steve McQueen and I love westerns but this one just didn't quite work for me... 6/10
  22. Erik Durm has officially signed for Eintracht Frankfurt from Championship team Huddersfield Town on a four-year contract. The deal is thought to be around €2M. The club also confirmed the signings of Dominik Kohr (Bayer Leverkusen) and Jip Molenaar (FC Volendam) today.
  23. Picked up a few popular science book today; it was free as a part of the initiative to popularise science and foster scientific culture. Pandora’s Seed takes us on a powerful and provocative globe-trotting tour of human history, back to a seminal event roughly ten thousand years ago, when our species made a radical shift in its way of life: We became farmers rather than hunter-gatherers, setting in motion a momentous chain of events that could not have been foreseen at the time. Although this decision to control our own food supply is what propelled us into the modern world, Wells demonstrates—using the latest genetic and anthropological data—that such a dramatic shift in lifestyle had a downside that we’re only now beginning to recognize. Growing grain crops ultimately made humans more sedentary and unhealthy and made the planet more crowded. The expanding population and the need to apportion limited resources such as water created hierarchies and inequalities. The desire to control—and no longer cooperate with—nature altered the concept of religion, making deities fewer and more influential, foreshadowing today’s fanaticisms. The proximity of humans and animals bred diseases that metastasized over time. Freedom of movement and choice were replaced by a pressure to work that is the forebear of the anxiety and depression millions feel today. Wells offers a hopeful prescription for altering a life to which we were always ill suited, recommending that we change our priorities and self-destructive appetites before it’s too late. A riveting and accessible scientific detective story, Pandora’s Seed is an eye-opening book for anyone fascinated by the past and concerned about the future. A renowned biochemist draws on cutting-edge scientific findings to construct the mosaic of life’s astounding history. How did life invent itself? Where did DNA come from? How did consciousness develop? Powerful new research methods are providing vivid insights into the makeup of life. Comparing gene sequences, examining atomic structures of proteins, and looking into the geochemistry of rocks have helped explain evolution in more detail than ever before. Nick Lane expertly reconstructs the history of life by describing the ten greatest inventions of evolution (including DNA, photosynthesis, sex, and sight), based on their historical impact, role in organisms today, and relevance to current controversies. Who would have guessed that eyes started off as light-sensitive spots used to calibrate photosynthesis in algae? Or that DNA’s building blocks form spontaneously in hydrothermal vents? Lane gives a gripping, lucid account of nature’s ingenuity, and the result is a work of essential reading for anyone who has ever pondered or questioned the science underlying evolution’s greatest gifts to man. Editor John Brockman continues in the same vein as his popular compilations What Are You Optimistic About and What Have You Changed Your Mind About with This Will Change Everything. Brockman asks 150 intellectual superstars “what game-changing scientific ideas and developments do you expect to live to see?” Their fascinating responses are collected here, from bestselling author of Atonement Ian McEwan to Nobel Prize-winning physicist Frank Wilczek to electronic music pioneer Brian Eno to writer, actor, director, and activist Alan Alda.
