Verstappen, Russell and Perez are the three drivers who outqualified their teammates by the biggest margin in the first half of the season. Other drivers are very evenly matched; the gap is smallest between Leclerc/Vettel and Kvyat/Albon.

As much as I'm all for giving young drivers time, Gasly is costing Red Bull a lot and it's probably a good time to consider if keeping him at the team is worth it at all. Lapped by his teammate today, can't be used as a part of strategy to hold off other teams as he's just too far behind to be a danger to either Mercedes or Ferrari (or even McLaren today), and just doesn't seem capable of improving.

I prefer the term "fucked up in the head" in cases like these.

Frankfurt are through to the 3rd qualifying round after beating Flora Tallinn 4-2 on aggregate. Incredible atmosphere in the stadium again. Also applauded by the opponents after the match, Frankfurt fans applauded them back and chanted their city name in return and the Estonian players then showed their appreciation for Frankfurt fan by throwing a few shirts to them Flora's manager said they went to applaud Frankfurt fans after the match because it was the best atmosphere they've ever seen. Class.

Got Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic today. A true city planners and engineers dream. A huge map, very complex infrastructure, industry and economy and a LOT of micromanagement (buying buses, building bus stops near areas that need workers and then assigning routes for each vehicle, managing work loads and setting shift pattern at the factories, relocating citizens, designing railroad systems complete with rail traffic signals and cargo management, optimising industry, managing imports and exports in different currencies through customs offices at the border, terraforming, managing unemployment, researching chemistry and technical parts at universities, etc). Basically a city builder, logistics manager and economy tycoon in one, set in a fictional Soviet Republic from the 60s to the 80s. Very authentic not only in complexity but also in terms of using real-life objects (building styles, actual vehicle models) of the eastern-bloc at that time; different vehicles even become available only when you reach a certain year when they were actually built in the real world. Didn't expect it to be so complex and so complicated judging from the trailer, probably the most in-depth and detailed game I've ever seen in this genre. Still a bit unpolished as it's in development and even more new features are being added. Will not everyone's cup of tea but those who liked the original Tropico or transport tycoon style games will definitely enjoy it a lot. Can easily see thousands of hours in the game.

There's a thread for it

Montoya currently leads IMSA Sportscar Championship; still as fast and fearless as ever Mine was always Michael Schumacher. Got into F1 properly because of him; nobody else even comes close.

Still unclear at this point. He wants to come and he's also Kohfeldt's transfer wish so it could still happen as in the end it's only a question of agreeing the transfer fee. I think a lot depends on whether or not we manage to sign Henrichs on a two season loan - if it happens, then I think we'll sign Gregoritsch as well. If not, then the money will probably be invested into defense especially given all the latest injuries.

My point is, it's easy to forget that there's an actual person behind the public image...a person with all its strengths and weaknesses, character flaws and certain habits and behavioural patterns and what not. It's always more than one dimension to any person and celebrities are not an exception. As for social media...Yeah it's cringy but not surprising considering it's a disease of our generation. I see so much drama, tantrums, attention seeking and the likes from "regular" people on there that I have to roll my eyes constantly; it's all bullshit anyway.
-
Hmmm that's a bold claim; I'm sure there's much more to him than that celebrity persona he puts on in public... I don't like that bling-bling style and social media nonsense but he also seems to be genuinely interested in a lot of different things outside of that (not to mention that we have absolutely no idea how he is as a private person) so I don't think it's a fair judgement of character. This reaction to Netflix footage at Hockenheim is a bit throwing the toys out of the pram like though

No shit I wonder why...
-
Yeah... But let's be honest - it's been almost 6 years since the accident and at this point full recovery is probably very unlikely at best and impossible at worst. Hope is good, but I think people should come to terms with the facts and respect family's and his wishes for privacy.
-
I see; looks like a new article but it says exactly the same what Todt said months ago - so probably that's the only thing that he's able to say without giving out any more details.
-
You mean the one from months ago? Or did he say the same again recently? Hope he's doing better... I understand people wanting to know how he's doing but I think the family does great in keeping it completely private. It's better for the fans to keep alive the image of Schumi how he used to be.
-
It was very emotional seeing him in his father's car; the public chanting "Schumi, Schumi" was just unbelievable and the best testament of Michael's legacy and closeness to the fans. Also that V10 engine sounds sweeeeeet....

Yes. F1 built the platform together with Goodform Group specifically for fan feedback. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.formula1-presents-f1-fan-voice.cGk29lGXaEukQgISO0s4k.html

Now official! Kohfeldt extends his contract until 2023! Brilliant news. Best manager we had since Schaaf and the future looks good again...

I love it because it looks like they are actually putting a lot of effort to find out what the fans think/want and adjust their future plans accordingly. An interesting example - in their current framework of the new 2021 regulations FIA mentions a study showing that with the liveries removed fans and even expert have trouble identifying cars and want to address that in the new design rules - that's the study that has actually been carried on the Fan Voice and I took part as well; I think I only got 4 or 5 right too. They also asked fans' opinion about penalising drivers in certain situations this season (Seb/Hamilton in Canada; Seb/Max in Silverstone; Max/Leclerc in Austria; Perez leaving the track in France etc.) and whether it's just a coincidence or not but the stewards have been much more lenient recently so it does at least make you think that they care about what fans think.
