India has successfully launched Chandrayaan-2 - its first lunar landing mission - today! If everything goes according to plan the lander (including the rover) should land on the Moon on September 6. New Austrian Bundesliga season starts in 5 days. 7 teams are going into the new season with new managers in charge. Jesse March (ex-US footballer) takes charge at RB Salzburg, Valerien Ismael (Bundesliga champion with both Werder and Bayern) at LASK, Gerhard Struber at WAC, Nestor El Maestro st Sturm, Alexander Schmidt st St. Pölten, Franz Ponweiser at Mattersburg, and Thomas Silberberger at the promoted Watten. Peter Stöger (ex Köln and BVB manager) returns to Austria Wien as sports director. RB Salzburg still an undoubted title favourite but they underwent a lot of changes and lost a lot of players so this could be a challenging season for them; LASK, Sturm Graz and both Vienna clubs could spring a few surprises.

That's the kind of cars that will be racing in WEC/Le Mans instead of LMP1 starting 2021 Valkyrie is incredible. They gave it the first public run before the race in Silverstone.

That's a documentary? I tuned into their six-day "livestream" on youtube a few times which pretty much simulates and reconstruct the whole mission...pretty cool stuff. It's an interactive website that replays the mission second by second - and thus includes 11000 hours of mission control audio, 240 hours of space-to-ground audio, thousands of photographs, all mission control, onboard and TV film and audio footage, multiple camera angles, transcripts, astromaterials sample data. It's incredible.

Lost 0-1 against Osnabrück and won 1-0 against Köln (Sargent scored late in the game). Looked pretty good at the back; even with Veljkovic and Langkamp both missing due to injuries. Early to judge at this point in the pre-season but creativity seems to be lacking; although we should look better when Maxi Eggestein plays as he's more or less the main link between our defence and attack.

A short friendly tournament today with Osnabrück and Köln. Second half is currently starting in our first match against Osnabrück; VfL lead 1-0. A lot of U23 players; looking forward to the Köln match with probably more first team regulars.

Stumbled upon this today... Colour film of the highlight of 1967 German GP on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The cars going airborne like rally cars! Pretty much no safety. Those were mad men. Incredible footage.
