This looks like something you'd enjoy: https://zombieexperiences.co.uk/
  2. Our squad for tomorrow's Pokal match: Jiri Pavlenka, Luca Plogmann, Theodor Gebre Selassie, Milos Veljkovic, Niklas Moisander, Sebastian Langkamp, Ludwig Augustinsson, Marco Friedl, Philipp Bargfrede, Ole Käuper, Maximilian Eggestein, Davy Klaassen, Yuya Osako, Florian Kainz, Milot Rashica, Max Kruse, Johannes Eggestein, Claudio Pizarro. Getting excited already... Will be interesting to see who makes it into the starting XI upfront with Kruse. My guess is Kainz and Osako.
  3. He's been complaining about the state and direction of F1 for years, and he's absolutely spot on.
  4. That's allowed and also quite common (especially in lower leagues) as there's no conflict of interests!
  5. No. But since he's not being paid, AFC says it's alright.
  6. Yes. Weird appointment, really. Not sure how it's supposed to work; apparently he will only be here during off-season in Australia and on international breaks, and will communicate with the players and staff via video conferences at other times... That said, he has already opened a football academy here a few years ago, and he will not be getting any salary, so his intentions are clearly good. I'm just not sure it will help much considering he will barely have any time to change things that need changing. EDIT: After doing some research, this is even weirder than I thought. So apparently now they're calling him just the "General Manager", and the official head coach of the team will be some 30 year old Argentine who played in lower leagues in Japan for most of his career... So yeah, looks like a weird PR move, nothing else.
  7. I basically grew up on classic rock, haha...
  8. I watched Shutter Island a few years ago, didn't really enjoy it though. Just not my type of movie!
  9. I have Hostiles with Christian Bale lined up next in my movie folder, but now I think I'll switch it with Interstellar and watch that first...
  10. Can't stand Tom Cruise, so have trouble getting into any movies he plays in.
  11. Thanks for the reminder. I've been meaning to watch it for years, will do so tonight after work... Love sci-fi, especially space travel.
  12. Into the West https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0409572/ A 9 hour mini-series. Tells the story of the American West from the perspective of white settlers and of Native Americans. A good watch. 8/10
  13. End of an era, what a legend. Sheer talent wise, still the best driver on the grid for me. Hope to see him in WEC full time next season, and also hope he manages to get that triple crown in the near future.
  14. 5-0 win against Frankfurt in the Supercup Alaba had to be substituted with a knee injury, any infos on how long he'll be sidelined?
  15. To be fair, lack of Hollywood gloss was one of the reasons why I enjoyed it so much, I thought it was classy and stylish I liked the characters, the cinematography, the plot and the topics they examined, especially all the stuff about artificial intelligence, human nature, the future (and the past) of humanity. Quite a few interesting ideas there, such as the origins of life on Mars and Earth, didn't expect that! For me, that's proper science fiction, very refreshing...
  16. I thought the very ending was a bit meh and anti-climactic, but I enjoyed the whole series a lot. Short episodes, but with a lot of substance... Looking forward to Season 2!
  17. A US-backed, UAE and Saudi-led coalition airstrike hit a bus carrying mostly children in Yemen; at least 29 children have been confirmed dead, even more injured. The coalition called the strike a “legitimate military action” and accused the Houthi rebels of using children as "human shields".
  18. Yeah, it would probably be better to change the topic title into "Asian football", that way there would probably be more interest in it haha.

    Animals

I have never seen or heard of them before, either! Haha I really don't do much at all, just donate a few dollars monthly here and there, and take part in a nature photographer's club of sorts... Love having the options though, the nature here is so abundant and fascinating. EDIT: you and Chris both should come and take a tour

It's a golden Moon bear, an extremely rare genetic colour phase, her name is Brandy She was rescued from a forested area which was due to be converted to a palm oil plantation some twenty years ago, and then was brought to the sanctuary.

No Chris, this wasn't taken by me, but it's from a sun and moon bear sanctuary in my local wildlife rescue center. Over 120 rescued sun and moon bears are being cared for here, among other animals. Some are just tiny cubs... I'm sponsoring a clouded leopard and one of the community ranger stations monthly, they are doing a really great job rescuing animals and protecting the rainforest against poachers and illegal loggers ...
