  1. Why harsh? Everyone were racing under the same conditions, some managed to do it right, some not. Probably poor communication with the garage.
  2. Automatic DRS release was not working in the first sector (for all cars), so the drivers had to activate it manually, hence why many probably didn't time it right.
  3. Sirotkin handed three grid places penalty in Barcelona for causing a collision with Perez on Lap 1. Stroll and Magnussen apparently investigated for improper use of DRS too.
  4. Yes, something still went wrong with that, he's still under investigation. Could be because he did it more than once?
  5. By the way, Kimi is still under investigation for 1st lap crash and Perez for using DRS where it was not allowed... There might be some changes in the final grid.
  6. What a race, unbelievable! Charles Leclerc & Sauber
  7. Kimi throwing the pole again, unbelievable... Insane first two sectors though. That incident between both Toro Rosso cars was soooo dangerous, very lucky they didn't crash. Could have been really nasty. Happy for Leclerc and Sauber for making it into Q2! Should be an interesting race tomorrow, probably a few crashes and safety cars, really unsure what's going to happen, haha.

Talking about bees, you might find this interesting @The Rebel CRS and @Bluewolf:
  9. Stunning cinematography and groundbreaking visuals, introducing numerous things that haven't been done in cinema before, all without computer graphics. Stunning and way beyond its time Epic soundtrack and enigmatic atmosphere Most accurate, scientific portrayal of Space Immense scale and scope of the film, exploring "big ideas" like a man's place in the Universe, technological progress, (artificial) intelligence, man vs. machine, etc; and narrating the entire history of humanity and evolution of the humankind Story being conveyed mostly through visuals, symbols and musical cues rather than dialog, intentionally leaving many of the ideas and scenes open for interpretation. It's challenging I personally love it, and I'm not even much of an arthouse film fan in general... However, I understand why many find it boring, too-long, pretentious, etc. It's very polarizing, kind of a love it or hate it kind of film... I also read Arthur Clarke before I watched the movie, both the novel of the same name which he wrote while working on the filmset with Kubrick, and his previous works that influenced the creation of the movie, so maybe I just had more reference points for the story... If you want more story and more explanations, it's worth taking a look at the "sequel" which was not directed by Kubrick, so it's a very different style and also more accessible: 2010: The Year We Make Contact
  10. They are apparently still selling that, so I guess it was not a complete failure, at least
  11. Yes, I haven't heard of him for ages, too... In fact, the last thing I remember reading about him was him and his friends inventing the Snaxcup while he was injured

  13. Yes, bad news indeed, but not that unexpected... Apparently we're looking at Bittencourt as his replacement. We might lose Delaney in the summer as well, that would be another huge blow

Probably not financially viable at this point, and there would be issues of the herd accepting a "robot rhino" on top of that... If it happened though, just imagine the video footage we could get from its cameras Super cool.

I think it will never become a reality, hehe. But yes, it looks extremely cool. There is another artist who made similar suggestions, check it out here: https://io9.gizmodo.com/robots-shaped-like-african-animals-join-the-fight-again-1500411986 Very cool!

As for poaching, have you heard about the suggestion of rhino-robots that would mimic rhinos so that herd would accept it, and it would then monitor them from the inside and alert patrols about poachers. Far-fetched idea, but it looks badass!

It happened in China, Beijing's Badaling Wildlife World, and it's actually not a lion but a Siberian tiger! The woman survived the attack, but her mother was mauled to death by other tigers while trying to help her daughter from being dragged away. The stupid c*nt even sued the park afterwards, despite it all being her fault for leaving the car in the first place... Some people, seriously... EDIT: Bluewolf beat me to it!

Have this at my window every now and then. I named it Patrick
  19. The Jupiter just exploded!!! I think the show warrants its own thread
  20. I just finished episode 6. I have two questions: 1. Can we please use Dr. Smith as a dinner snack for those fuel-ingesting eels or those weird, moth-hunting, oversized salamanders? She's absolutely infuriating Once again, I must say that the actress is doing a fantastic job though 2. Please tell me the Robot is coming back and not as a tool for that nutcase I mentioned in question 1 Love the show so far, by the way.
  21. I don't remember that, but it's a great idea *starts posting in Altpreußisch*
