I think Goodfellas is a better movie, but I personally prefer Casino; there's more nuance, it's more aesthetically pleasing (I love the backdrop of Las Vegas) and if it somewhat lacks in script compared to Goodfellas, it certainly makes up for it in depth of characters and social dynamics. Also, I prefer more screen time with de Niro and Pesci, not a big fan of Liotta. Both are 10/10 for me though. Anyway, the last movie I watched: They Call Me Trinity (1970). A Terence Hill and Bud Spencer classic, brilliantly entertaining, unpretentious and funny spaghetti western parody with a lot of action, shootouts, brawls, silly cheap jokes and over the top characters. A cult movie. 8/10

Started watching The Son: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3839822/ It's a western drama following three generations of a family building an oil empire in Texas, starring Pierce Brosnan. Started out okay and looks quite promising. @Viva la FCB you might want to check this out.

What a weekend coming up, Khmer New Year celebrations start on Friday and will last for 3 days at least, then it's Easter on Sunday, as well as Nordderby. Hope the weather will play along and I can enjoy some beer and seefood at the beach... Have you got anything planned for Easter Sunday?

Haha, I love Garcia, but he's been dropped for a reason. Once Augustinsson arrives, Garcia will surely be second choice behind him. If he extends his contract in the first place, that is. Bauer is a beast, even when he plays out of position, and he still has sooo much potential. Wouldn't be surprised to see him getting a call up to the NT in the future.

Luca Caldirola out for the rest of the season with a broken foot Sané, Caldirola, Bauer, Delaney, Bargfrede, Fritz, Gnabry, Hajrovic - all injured at the moment, although there's hoping that Sané and Gnabry will be fit for the HSV match next week. Bargfrede could be an option too.

I haven't actually seen The Magnificent Seven yet, although I intended to. Will have to give it a go, as I enjoyed the original one. Now with rainy season starting, I will have a lot of time for movies anyway Oh and yes, I completely agree when it comes to 3:10 to Yuma, haha! Good remake, terrible ending. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is still probably my most favourite modern western, although it's certainly a bit different. Have you seen Meek's Cutoff, by any chance? I was meaning to watch it years ago when it was released, but never did, for some reason, although it looks very interesting at a first glance. I would love to see more remakes of the classic western in the future, Winchester '73 or Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid would probably be my top choices. Somewhat related, Deadwood the movie should come out next year! Lee van Cleef is great, both as a "hero" and as a villain. After Clint Eastwood, he's surely my most favourite when it comes to western actors, but then there are so many others who were all so fucking great...

The same Carnegie who wrote How to Win Friends and Influence People and similar rubbish? Gee I hate it. As for phones, I bought Asus Zenfone for the first time a while ago, positively surprised with the battery life. Also have an old Galaxy, love it too.

I started watching it last year and honestly just had to switch it off after 20 minutes or so, it was just so fucking weird and pretentious with annoying sounds and strange camera work... I keep on hearing that it's really good now though, not sure if I should give it another go?

Taboo and Westworld are the only new series that I've truly enjoyed recently. Oasis started well, but there's only the pilot released so far, and it's yet to be seen if Amazon will make a full series out of it. Other than that, I started watching a lot of shows, but gave up sooner or later; there's definitely lack of quality.

To be honest, I much prefer Spaghetti westerns over the American ones. They are somehow much more epic - they are also grittier, dirtier, nihilistic; feels more realistic in their appearance; they feature antiheroes as protagonists, and the representation of the villain is also much more complex than simply "this is a bad guy". I would watch anything with Clint Eastwood though, haha. I watched Death Rides a Horse (1967) a few days ago, a revenge story with a twist starring Lee van Cleef who's amazing again, and John Phillip Law who didn't impress me much, his character and acting just feels "wooden", and his monotone John Wayne impression doesn't help either, but it was interesting to see the chemistry between the two. 7/10 Next up is Once upon a Time in the West, Mercenary (set to be released on BluRay this year!), The Great Silence, and Duck, you Sucker! After that I will lighten up the mood and turn to some Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, namely their Trinity movies hehe.
