Agree - last night he should have dropped Alli deeper to get on the ball. I didn't realise quite just how bad our depth is in central midfield. It's a real weak point. I like the 5-3-2 formation we played but it wasn't utilised properly, and our centre backs may not be good enough to be honest.

Spot on - Kane and Alli are brilliant - but they work so well in our team because of the players around them and the way we play. Alli in particular has suffered for England. Kane last night had 2 chances and scored 2, there was no real service into him apart from the first goal.

He's played CB the majority of the season, so no surprise he looks a bit rusty in there. He's also being asked to do too much, when he's put next to someone like Livermore, or someone who had such an awful game like Ox, he has to try and dictate things and that shouldn't be his game. I wouldn't say he's really progressed this year, but he is still a good talent, so versatile, and with a proper partner does an excellent job holding, and getting us moving. Southgate's biggest problem is that he's without Hugo, Toby, Jan, Eriksen and Dembele.

Because on the whole those sorts of defenders don't do well in England. Mertesacker has hardly set the world alight. Your defensive problems haven't alleviated during his time at the club. The quicker tempo and frantic harrying doesn't always suit them

Love these fantasy teams. That team would be completely run over in the middle of the park - your defence is already shaky, having no protection and Coutinho playing there would be madness imo.
