Holy jesus did anyone catch anything of that Caps Sharks game. I just watched the clipped end and OT. Sharks had a 3-2 lead with about 1:30 to go, Cap's net empty and Sharks scored one to make it 4-2. Cap's kept the goalie pulled with about 1 min left they scored twice and tied it 4-4 and forced OT. The OT was crazy back and forth and Caps ended up winning 5-4. Apparently only one other team has ever scored and empty net goal and gone on to not win, back then it ended as a tie though. Madness. Also that World Juniors was a fun watch.
  2. Regardless of what I thought of the movie itself, its definitely worth watching some films in the cinema; this is probably one of those.
  3. GOOD NEWS EVERYONE. Hansi Flick will be at the helm until the end of the season. Also sounds as if a Nübel deal is done.
  4. 6 Underground - 6/10 pretty average Michael Bay action movie. Some cool scenes, good effects, lacking in alot of other areas. Some token ryan reynolds lines throughout but pretty forgettable by the end of it. Yet to see a good Netflix only movie maybe the Irishman is finally it I'll get to watching that marathon eventually.
  5. Thats what peak male form looks like Tommy's just jealous
  6. A nice little interview Lewy gave to SportBild. Touches on alot of things I like his comment about Ribery.... so true so true. Full article on BFW https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2019/11/20/20974343/robert-lewandowski-bayern-munich-coach-hansi-flick-pep-guardiola-timo-werner-jadon-sancho-bundesliga No competition at the top in the Bundesliga? Currently, Lewandowski sits atop the Bundesliga’s goal scorer’s list with 16 goals. Even though he’s the clear odds-on favorite to collect yet another Torjägerkanone at the end of the season, Lewandowski is still motivated. Despite his own dominance, he still feels that the Bundesliga is not lacking in outstanding players: Although the scorers like himself get most of the glory and plaudits in the Bundesliga, Lewandowski also recognized singled out Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho when asked who he viewed as the league’s top talents: Lewandowski was also recently put on the short list of nominees for the 2019 Ballon d’Or, but he feels that players in England and Spain have an advantage because of the broader popularity of their leagues. He made it clear that he feels his former teammate and Bayern legend Franck Ribery was cheated of the honor: Sport Bild asked Lewy directly whether there is any center-forward who can rival him currently. His answer was not direct, but clear: “I am giving my all to be the best possible.” Who is the right coach for Bayern? Since taking over as interim manager in the wake of Niko Kovac’s departure, Hansi Flick has guided Bayern to two impressive wins against Olympiacos FC and Borussia Dortmund, outscoring them 6:0. Bayern have looked a completely reinvigorated since Flick’s appointment. Lewandowski argues it is his communication with the players that has made Flick so effective so soon: Lewandowski feels that Flick could be the right man to finish the season as Bayern’s manager, and he praised Flick’s attention to Bayern’s defense and midfield ahead of the matches against Olympiacos and Dortmund: Lewandowski, of course, was speaking before news of Mauricio Pochettino’s dismissal byTottenham Hotspur broke. If he or another new coach arrives in the winter transfer window or over the summer, Lewandowski emphasized the need for a manager to adapt to the players that Bayern already has: When asked about the rumors linking Pep Guardiola with a potential return to Bavaria, Lewandowski gave a diplomatic, but pointed answer:
  7. His Dark Materials. I see you started a thread I should have posted there maybe... I will when I catch up!
  8. Kind of reminded me of how I waited several years to watch Love Actually...now its a must watch yearly! On another note that show you linked the trailer to is probably my next watch !
  9. Coco - 10/10 Brilliant little show. I loved the theme and idea behind it all. The bright colours and effects where used brilliantly to offset the tone just the right amount. Not usually my cup of tea with these disney esque movies but I should have gotten around to watching it far sooner and so should you!
  10. Theres plenty wrong with bud and coors light.........
  11. So this will be my 3rd time in Mexico I can give you alittle info. This will be my second time in a resort in the Maya Riviera area (cancun/Carribean side) personally I think its the best for an all inclusive type deal if thats what your looking for. The food in an all inclusive is a mixed bag of everything and almost anything so that shouldnt be a worry for you. The complex were staying at has like 20 or 25 restaurants from Japanese (cook it in front of you) to a steak house to several buffet places which rotate menu's daily. Anyways last time I was in the area was about 10 years ago and back then we rented a car and did a little traveling around, went to chichen Itza and a few things but I wouldnt do that now. Playa Del Carmen which is very close was one of the cities that previously or still has? a turf war and shot a bunch of people in a club. If you still in the resort/tourest spots and ruins youll be fine. The other spot Ive been to is to is Loreto which is on the california baja surf. Its a little x pat town and it was alot of fun, we rented a little condo type place with my buddy and his family. Completely different experience but awesome just the same. Right on the water we took about a 10-15 min boat ride to a little island with a cove off it with white sandy beaches and the pure blue/green carribean kind of water that was basically untouched. The town has a mix of x pats and locals and has one big hotel and a bunch of mexican eateries. The best food I probably had was a california guy that moved down with his mexican wife and started up a place that was a bit of a fusion of foods. He had a wood burning bbq that he cooked flank stank on and my god it was good, generally the steaks in mexico arent great and he mentioned he didnt serve steak on the menu until he found one that met his standards. One of these days I want to get to Mexico city and a day of the dead festival.... still on my bucket list. USA and Canada are completely different trips that goes without saying. I know the west coast well as thats where Ive lived and traveled most so I can help you there if you need. Im actually heading to Portland for a weekish later in December, Ive been there a few times before, Oregon in general is beautfiul, probably the one place in the States I could concider living in.
  12. I mean tap water in general, which in turn im alluding to water in beer as well yet. Bottle water is another story, its much the same as pop doesnt really change.
  13. To further what nudge said think of it this way; How different does water taste in different countries/regions. Its impossible to replicate the same taste for all the reasons she mentions and more it is annoying. Im a big fan of the Guinness here anyways personally but of all the draft Guinness around the city I've tried there is one particular hole in the wall Irish bar that has the best pint of it and I cant explain that one but its noticeably better then the rest.
  14. Just booked off to Mexico (Maya Riviera) for 10 days in just under two weeks. Cant wait.
  15. The Dark Night - 8.5/10 My feelings didnt change after rewatching it. Heath Ledgers Joker didnt get any less impressive, the nuances he adds to the role are just perfect. My main complaint remained; its just too long. The rise and fall of two face felt ok as far as the story goes but just didnt need to be there and was too quick, if they cut it entirely or left it for another film you could chop it to a shade over 2 hours and Id be happier. Anyways overall very good movie, the story, the action, the acting still holds up for me.
  16. Apparently Gnabry played through a knock, Javi Martinez had muscle hardening? no idea what that is and Lucas Hernandez suffered a partial rupture to a ligament in his ankle - he will be out for sometime. Javi and Gnabry will be ok but Jesus.
  17. Humme.... oh right, Boa..... damn never mind I give up.
  18. I have a harder time finding Sol around here these days, maybe DE beat it out Im not sure but I can find DE everywhere. Grolsch is an easy drinker, little better taste then heineken imo but all somewhat similar.
  19. But the problem is within those categories theres just better beer, coors and sol are fairly average beers. Within light beers dos equis or heinekin or grolsch imo are far better beers.
  20. fair. But they have a point though, budweiser is so bad. If it makes you feel any better our Canadian and Kokanee is trash too
  21. I actually enjoy drinking Kölsch thank you very much, but much like drinking a stout theres a time of year for it.
  22. For all the great things that hes done and continues to do theres the equal and opposite thing that flaps out his ass.....and theyre definitely more common these days
  23. Joker - 9/10 I agree with what alot of you guys said, the film is almost perfect. I loved the bit about dipping in and out of sanity with the girl and the Wayne thing and the whole reveal about his childhood brining it full circle. Phoenix it goes without saying is fantastic, I can still hear is creeping awkward laugh in between the punchlines at the comedy club dear god there where some cringe/uncomfortable moments. Brilliantly executed in the end, makes me want to go back and watch the dark night again now.
