  1. I understand some hesitance with EA but good news everyone; Open demo Feb 1-3rd.
  2. Has anyone been checking out Anthem? Im debating on pre ordering it, theres a deal going for 60$ CAD, the gameplay looks phenomenal.
  3. Just finished season 1 of Netflix's Seven Seconds unfortunate to find out the shooting of the second season was axed about 5 weeks after the release of the first (back in Feb/March). I guess the viewership numbers werent what they where hoping for as most of the reviews I saw where fairly positive. Its a bit of a slow burner but the acting is incredible, the character building was a huge focus. Im fine with it as a standalone season as it wrapped up the current story, you're not left with any cliff hangers. They had planned to do seperate stories much like True Detective and A Night Of so I dont feel cheated at least. Nothing groundbreaking for a story but It was really put together. The premise; A cop on his way to the hospital to see his pregnant wife giving birth hits a young black kid with his car in a park and his team covers it up and sends him on his way. Takes place in New Jersey so it has the whole racial aspect and gang background going on. Anyways not going to say to much more but its worth a watch just for the acting on display alone, the boys parents where phenomenal.
  4. The Mule - 6/10 Not much depth to the story, has some token great Clint lines and old man racist lines. Bradley Coopers character seemed pretty shallow, as did they all other then Clint basically. Just felt like a much worse version then Gran Torino.
  5. Mortal Engines - 8/10 First off I didnt read the books, nor did I really know anything about it other then a preview or two from other movies I've been to see recently. Visually its spectacular, the CGI and effects are absolutely worth seeing in theatres on the big screen. I really enjoyed it, the concept, the effects, the storylines I think it could have been a really compelling trilogy. Unfortunately from looking into things It sounds as though it will likely be a one and done. Speculation they will only make back about half of their over 200m budget back(including marketing est) but dont let that or some mediocre reviews get you down, go watch it.
  6. So had a power outage for most of the day and lasted well into the night. Fired up my tablet to see what was on it to watch and I had a few choices. Alient Convenant - hot garbage. It comes at night - midly garbage, Cube - vintage awesome and Basic. Well we settled in on Basic as my better half hadnt seen it. Basic - 7.5/10 I remember it being better to be honest. Some great twists and turns though you dont fully get whats going on for most of the movie it keeps you guessing well until the end. The end was probably where it lost me this time around they just tried to do to much and make off like a Tarantino kind of movie. It didnt work for me but the rest was a good watch. Note to self put better movies on my tablet to watch for future power outages....
  7. Its actually pretty funny, Id watch it again. Plus Jessica Simpson is a knockout in that.
  8. Cordons a little hit or miss but I love me some Anna Kendrick, the battle was pretty good.
  9. Hopefully it doesnt come to this but I can appreciate the maturity to comment about such things. Coman comments:
  10. Love Actually - 10/10 Its that time of the year again where I watch this movie. If you havent watched it Ill steal a quote from a wise man "Its time to nut up or shut up" Its thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish with a bunch of different stories connecting to love and Christmas in various ways. Alot of it is relateable and some is just meant to be over the top silly, some great lines and boasting a horde of accomplished actors. I will never tire of this gem. DO IT.
  11. The nice thing about being so backlogged is by the time I get around to buying these they are all under 50$ GOW is on for 30$ I think for black friday deals so im definitely picking that up and probably leaning towards playing that next anyways Im glad its highly rated because Ive loved the series so far. Ill keep an eye on hitman and RDR, not to mention Ill have to get AC Odyssey down the road too. Horizon I can borrow but my brother said he has like 90 hours into it, I dont get time to play every week so that task seems pretty daunting.
  12. I've been working away on Ass Creed Origins still the game is bloody massive. Im about to hit level 30 as far as I can see it goes up until 40ish so i figure im 3/4's through. The game overall has been fun my interest has waned at times as theres been a decent amount of nothingness in some areas when traveling between places. Overall the game looks absolutely beautiful, the mechanics are fun, I like that theres quite a few style of weapons that are all unique in the combos and attacks; speaking of which I just got my first cursed weapon, a spear that reduces your health to 30% when equipped but nearly 1 shots alot of the regular foes. I've got nothing but ps4 games on my wishlist for christmas bascially so Ill catch up eventually. Still want to get to Hitman, now theres Hitman 2, God of War, Red dead and Horizon.
  13. A Star is Born - 7/10 Bradley Cooper was the standout for me, Gaga will get the plaudits and alot of it she deserves she was only awkward in parts and overall was fairly convincing. But Cooper was something else probably the best I've seen him other then Silver Linings. The story is kind of whatever nothing ground breaking.. I mean its been remade 3 times this is the 4th attempt going back to the 30's. Depressing ending which you can see coming the entire time, worth watching for the performances of the two if nothing else and the music was good albeit not my genre I still enjoyed it.
  14. Right on theme James has done his knee in training, torn ligament out at least a few weeks.
  15. It really is. At least he apologized for the Bernat comments which never should have been said to begin with mind you. Somethings got to give sooner or later one can think they can only fire so many coaches before more notice the bigger problems.
  16. Yeah I tend to agree, that season was a masterpiece through and through. The second season was ok, Id be fine if they could improve upon that which admittedly couldn't be too hard.
  17. Not a movie but season 3 official trailer. Colour me interested.
  18. This fucking team man. Thiago confirmed torn ankle ligaments, see you in 2019 bud.
  19. Sicario Day of the Soldado - 6/10 - Pretty disappointing considering the first installment was one of my favourites in the last few years. This lost nearly all the things that made the first movie work. The only redeeming quality really was it had some decent action and Benecio.
  20. Bernat has fired back some comments, actually a super well written response. The fact that he can stay classy in a situation like this makes me appreciate him even more, Uli and Co could learn a thing or ten.
  21. This is so good on so many levels.
  22. Even with the rebuttal Bernat's agent kept it classy, good for them. Uli could learn a thing or two. For context this some of what was said about him:
  23. I was reading transcripts this morning what a joke. Im so far over Uli at this point, his comments about Bernat are so far passed the line. You dont throw former players under the bus like that and then back it up several times and then get out and shoot him. The whole point they where trying to make is why didnt you replace him, god damn this is frustrating.
