  1. Us - 7/10 Not bad, started out pretty creepy then settled in with some typical Jordan Peele humour. It was worth a watch but not as good as his original debut.
  2. Just finished watching season 2 of The Chi It feels very much like The Wire light. If youre a fan of the The Wire id recommend checking it out. While obviously not as great, its got alot of the same feel and is a bit lighter as It follows a small group of kids as one of the main characters among others. Solid acting and a pretty varied story, id say it kept my interest through both seasons so far. Basically the jist of it; It centers around a drug gang in Chicago, the story gets set up around two murders of a young and older teenager, It follows an intersecting storyline of about half a dozen characters from there. The only downside is season 3 is a bit aways as season 2 just wrapped up.
  3. The Killing of a Sacred Deer - 7/10 This movie was more fucked up then I thought, and I watch alot of fucked up shit. The conversations/dialogue was weird af and it stayed that way all the way through the movie. I dont even know what I just watched tbh.
  4. Fuck yeah, im stoked. This looks great.
  5. I actually watched it on Father's day with my old man, It was funny how relevant that turned out. There was alot of good lines, good watch overall.
  6. @nudge Just watched ep 10 of The Son which I assume is the finale. It actually wraps up quite a bit, overall im satisfied with how the season ended and it did pick up after the first few. I probably wont miss it too much though
  7. Watched these over the weekend. Forget how young these guys are, man. I especially like the comments from Pavard who said "For me It was always Bayern or nothing" these are the type of players we need at the moment for more then one reason. Which is also why I am a bit skeptical of the rumours linking us to Dembele. Also @Tommy more guys that didnt decline....
  8. I dont think we can be friends anymore. I searched hard to find a relevant Firefly gif to voice my displeasure, I hope these will do.
  9. Thats a good point I forgot about that one entirely. Always sucks when shows get cut short. Firefly is still my number 1 gripe in that regard...
  10. We definitely wont get a proper ending especially if they had planned for another season. They very well could wrap up the current story with Maria Garcia but the fallout with Pete and the family and even the back story I would bet on being left unfinished. I actually was thinking about Yellowstone the other day, Ill have to set the PVR and catch up on it later but that one still has my full attention. Not enough time damnit.
  11. Party Pooper. Well Im gonna finish it, so there. Are you still going on The Son? Its been getting better as it goes Its just a shame all the back story wont get hashed out.
  12. Finally got around to watching Damnation. I remember you @nudge suggested it a while back. 2 episodes in and I love it so far, theres alot going on storywise and some great characters and dialogue already. Unfortunately the first thing I did was look up to see if they ever planned a second season only to find out It was swiftly cancelled after the first. Its not surprising given its a bit off the wall, not the norm that will attract big viewer numbers but its a real shame nonetheless.
  13. Rome is fantastic, give her a go.
  14. Right! its just so good, when you think what else could they possibly do, they release a 3rd installment and its just as good as the others! the antique shop fight was awesome. The choreography with the dogs is something I dont recall ever seeing before. Too good, I need to watch it again.
  15. Polar - 7.5/10 If you can enjoy a good B movie this one is worth your watch. Over the top and didnt take itself seriously, it was fun from start to finish, even had a pretty good twist in the end which I did not expect. Ill watch anything with Mads Mikkelsen in it.
  16. I tend to agree its been picking up lately from the snails pace of a start. The back story with young Eli and the Comache's has still kept my interest to. It will be interesting to see where they go this season I guess no matter what we wont have closure on the story though, bit of a shame. Ive heard nothing but good things about that one, Ill have to add it to my list
  17. Somehow I missed the announcement (It was back in Feb) @nudge The Son was cancelled. Originally after the debut it was renewed for season 2 and 3 but 3 has bitten the dust. Im kind of lukewarm on this season so far too so Im not really all that surprised. I had also read somewhere Brosnan was only on a short term contract to so maybe they would have had to pay him a bunch more for the third? oh well.
  18. A few days ago it was announced Peter Hermann was on his way out, his replacement has been announced now as well.
  19. John Wick Chapter 3 - 9/10 If youre a cultured fan of this series this sequel will not let you down. I fucking loved every minute of it. I will say no more, just go experience greatness.
  20. I cant really think of a show that had that far of a drop in quality, through 5/6 seasons it was arguably the best ever and to see how this last season ended is just bloody tragic. The last episode wasnt even much of a let down; I expected very little and sure enough thats what we got.
  21. My better half showed me this last night, at that point it had about 200k people https://www.change.org/p/hbo-remake-game-of-thrones-season-8-with-competent-writers Ive heard about a petition to get D & D removed from writing the upcoming Star Wars as well.
  22. I agree it was really cool where it ended up going, completely unique. The ending was great, Id like to think he adopted the little girl
  23. I Origins - 7/10 bit of a slow burner to start out but worth the watch. Michael Pitt was great as usual, pretty compelling story in the end.
