  1. Wanted to see Ramos join a Premier League team purely because of the 7 red cards he’d get.
  2. What’s the link between Everton and Africa? Seen you’re off there for a friendly, not for the first time, and can’t work out the link. You’re sponsored by a betting firm and owned by an Asian, so where does the Africa link come in?
  3. Knew those rules were coming in. I believe they trialled it during the 18/19 season in a couple of leagues. No idea how it went, mind. That particular rule is bonkers but makes for some great entertainment.
  4. I’m not having it that he’s abused because he’s black. That’s just trying to whip up a racial story. He gets pelters because his performance level on a regular basis is not justifying the outlay that Manchester United paid out on him, nothing to do with his skin colour. His price tag is the burden on him, not the fact that he’s black. Pogba gets more stick because he plays more regularly than Sánchez. Now, if Sanchez played as much as Pogba, he’d still get less stick than Pogba, but that would be based upon his transfer value being higher than Sanchez’.
  5. The FA should really hold a zero tolerance policy against stupid stuff people tweeted as a kid or as an adult, you can’t really decide what people can and can’t say or do, how they have with the Hennessey sham. Find it strange how these things just randomly come to light years after they’ve been posted. Does someone sit at home just trying to find these things to expose footballers?
  6. Local side, Harlow Town have been relegated from the Bostik Premier today. They’ve lost by three or more ten times in forty-one games this season, including a 7-0, 7-2 and a 9-1.
  7. Do you lot have a clause on Gomes’ loan to make it permanent? If not, do you reckon you’ll try and get him anyway?
  8. Arsenal fans, Chelsea fans and now French fans being degenerate dickheads and being racist in 2019. The mind boggles at the stupidity of people in this day and age. It’s what you’d have expected in the 60’s, 70’s or 80’s, not now, where the UK is multicultural and we have people of all races and colours in the country and many in football, too.
  9. I’ve seen this video. I have no idea what I’m looking at tbh. Wouldn’t be able to pick out Pickford from that crowd as whoever’s filmed it, has seemingly done it on a house brick. Can’t clearly make anyone’s face out clearly in that. What I have seen though in that video is a normal Saturday night up and down the country. Also, it’s a thirty second clip, if that, of an incident. Who knows what went on before and after?
  10. Ljubljana was lovely. Quite a small city so you can see everything in a day, two at most but we got the train out to Lake Bled, which is breathtaking.
  11. Off to Ljubljana tomorrow evening for a few days. Taking in Lake Bled as well while we’re there. It turns out it’s the “Eternal Derby” on Saturday night in the Slovenian Prva Liga between Olimpija Ljubljana and Maribor. I won’t be going, unfortunately.
  12. City Island for me today. £160 won in two days. Between that and £115 I had in my Betfair Account, I’ve just paid off my mates stag do with that cash. That’s me done with Cheltenham as a punter this year.
  13. 1/1 for me. Klassical Dream at 6/1 wins me £70 from a £10 stake. That’s me done for the day. Only ever do the first race at Cheltenham as you get the insuarance of money back as a free bet should my horse lose.
  14. Bloody hell, that’s a massive game this weekend @Large. All the best for it, hope you get a win. Why’s this level proven to be so difficult for you? Standard?
  15. Think the Chelsea players on the pitch at the time of the Kepa incident should all take some form of responsibility. Maybe I’m talking as a fan here and I’m showing more of an interest into the tangible side of Football over the financial side of the game but if there was an injured player on my team refusing to go off at a crucial stage of a Cup Final, regardless if it was only the Carabao Cup, I’d be dragging them off the pitch myself, whether I was the captain or not. That player, in a key position that at that point of the game looked as though he was about to play a key role in the game, could be the difference between me lifting a trophy and getting a Cup Final winning medal or not getting one and that’s what would matter to me at that stage, not whether I thought the manager was right or wrong, whether the Keeper was actually injured or it was tactical or whether I thought the manager was a miserable looking bore who stank of stale fags.
  16. Saw you were playing Sawbo. I’ve never got over there for a game either actually. Good win that.

A few of the ladies in training whilst Brian sat on the sidelines scouting them. HBD.
  18. Funnily enough, I watched an Essex Olympian League game the other week. It was Epping v Dagenham United in Division Four. It was 3rd v 2nd. The standard was appalling. It ended 11-2.
  19. Apologies for my naivety but what league would you drop into if you went down?
  20. They formed late and it was the only league that would take them, I think. Their owners (they’re fan owned) are the people that formed the “Clapton Ultras”, a far left Supporters group that would take flags, drums, stickers and that sort of thing to games. There was a big fallout because the Clapton FC owner is dodgy as hell and they boycotted the whole of last season before starting their own club in the summer.
  21. Oh nice. Will have to come over one day. It’s on the Central Line and quite a nice journey for me from Epping. What’s the aim for the club then?
  22. Are you involved at NFFC then Large or just a fan?
  23. Always wondered why teams in that area don’t merge. The history of Football in that part of London is pretty messy, with most clubs being swallowed up by Dagenham & Redbridge or being phoenix clubs of various natures. Mergers would surely bring together three or four club owners, who could pool their resources together and surely create a club that’s sustainable around the Ryman Premier level, rather than lots of clubs struggling to make ends meet off crowds of 30-40.
  24. Watched Redbridge and Barkingside at the Oakside. Decent burgers and there’s a window in the bar where you can see the whole pitch. The Essex Senior League is not a great standard though, from what I’ve seen. That area of East London/Essex is awash with clubs of a similar size that have tiny crowds, it’s a wonder how they all manage to survive year in, year out.
