Everton v Chelsea My Team? ~ Couldnt score in a Brothel springs to mind
-
Wow, I couldnt have asked for a better example than last night... Not that Liverpool fans are accepting of the descriptions
-
Haha, sorry for all the sleepless nights mate, not sure this almost humourous posting will release you from my grip. That is still in the hands of your Dracula goalkeeper (Don't like crosses) and wide apart defenders. Who would have thought your manager would be on my side? Have a good Christmas!

While I would agree with you CM would be a far more safe option as he is completely raw and as we saw last night, is liable to take a player out with his inexperience and enthusiasm, I can not stress how well he read the game infront of him and organized those around him. He looks to be a proper leader, even future Captain level and the buzz around the ground was really something. The 2nd half was rubbish, but this kid was shouting at the two central midfielders infront him demanding more from them both and gave Pedro a full mouthful when he allowed a player to run past him without challenge. He soon left the pitch. Id like him to continue as a CH in a 3 and get some airtime on the right side of a 3 too which will benefit him if we ever go back to a 4.

I was at the game last night and while I could pin point our CF running around his Left foot (YET AGAIN) to score the winner & his idiotic yellow card (He should be fined a weeks wages), the most revealing truth of last night is we have got a proper player in young Ampadu. For one so young and inexperienced he was magnificent, often instructing Chelsea players around him to move position ect (Reminded me of John when he was first introduced by Ranairi) His mistimed tackle on Defoe was up the pitch and while it gave away a free kick, it was just that, up the pitch and no bother. He did not allow the card to bother him and stood out as a player for the future. What to do with him will be a problem as he really needs to be playing regular as its plain to see he has a big future. Feller sitting next to me last night suggested sending him to the same club we sent Christensen? Kinda makes sense. I would offer he is probably further along at his age than Christensen at the same and he has the body frame that will fill out more quickly. A wonderful steal from Exeter, I would insist we do good by them as he is a real unpolished gem, one we should all be scratching our heads how he was down there for so long and in turn, Our youth system are still to produce a true youth team player of this level.

Last time I saw John pick his all time PL eleven and allowed to choose Chelsea, only one non Chelsea made the eleven. Henry
-
I do agree with you. I would like Luke at our club too and you can bet your bottom dollar, he would sign too.
-
So now David Luiz Knee could have him out for months over weeks?
-
Above leads me to a subject being asked by my Chelsea friends elsewhere. Would you take Mata back on a free from United. I understand his contract is running down at the end of the season? Plus at United, Chelsea supporting Luke Shaw is out of contract at the end of the season. Fancy him on a free as our Left Back?
-
A player we agree on & correct about Jose
-
I hope you are right on Michy as the rumour's currently being banded about would have you believing he wont be at the club in January. Makes one wonder if Hazard will lead the line himself or even one from left field... Moses leads the line We will see in a couple of hours.

Come on Doc, you cant smile at Lukaku one minute, then take offense at SlippyG the next. Even the Police know Slippy was funny for EVERYBODY bar the Deluded Army.

Watched the weekend game again yesterday afternoon and it didnt get any better. I am tired of our manager making excuses after games, although on this occasion, according to Jurno's who were at the PC at the Olympic stadium, they said its the most down they have seen Conte after the many times this season our players have not performed. He seems unable to get his version of the summer out of his mind, but for me, his selections, as in this past weekends and substitutions leave alot to be desired. Does not help himself saying the players are tired & in Morata's case, ill, when he has other players who are either fit or not tired by less minutes played, as in Willian and Pedro. Not starting Moses baffled me and almost all at my Chelsea board. Someone suggested to me this morning we will get a lot of info of the clubs plans for next season as far as manager by who we attempt to sign this coming window. Kinda funny as the word was after we got through the CL group the club were in talks of extending his current deal. I doubt there was any truth in that? The game: The goal conceded was down to our young defender ball watching. I felt Moyes picked on him. Normal two wide players, Antonio & Arnautovic, took turns to single out Christensen in the middle n played up against him. I felt he had a very difficult time and feel sure he will continue to be targeted by opposing sides. Christensen looked like Rio Ferdinand following the ball with his eyes allowing the player he was marking to twist away from him and accept the ball free of our watching youngster, again. Rio ball watched his whole career, but chiseled out a fine one, so there is still hope for our young star. Blame for goal is down to him but the performance is down to the rest of them and a manager who states the obvious after and gets chastised for it. Manchester City really do look the real deal this time around (didnt see the game but heard that CHEAT Herrera did it yet again), so Conte's words on them could well be true, just unusual for a manager to say it so plainly so early. Truth always hurts A ton more one could write, but I will spare you all. At least we have Barcelona to look forward too again

Hello Mate. I am not really fussed who we get, just more tired of our poor finishing leaving us defending small leads or like last night dropping points against a side we made many good chances. I guess we should be happy we came through a tough group with a game to play. It will be interesting what happens with Bale. Real are not playing very well & from what I understand (I maybe wrong here as I dont give a toss about La Liga) Bale has gone from being accused of being the weak link to becoming injured and the team continuing to play poorly leading some to state they need Bale back in the team as soon as possible. If there is a change of manager it might make his position weaker as Zidane seems to always back him, but I hope we are not daft enough to enter into trying to sign him. We have more important needs. Anyway, its your lot who are panicking. Jose caught on camera tapping Bale up, telling his he dont say anything to the media so he cant sign him. Obviously that paints a picture of he has no intention of signing for United, however, the longer he is on the sidelines he will have a shorter list of clubs after him. I think many of the Spurs players are starting to look elsewhere for something far greener. From what we read, Ali has already entered into looking for a super agent. You dont do that to sign a new contract at your present club. I think he needs to get his finger out on the pitch as his performances have been weaker so far, but I heard on the radio a few days ago someone stating he has been sussed by clubs leaving not as effective. Time will tell on that and a half good world cup and he can find a club to treble his wages at ease. Interesting line I heard about Harry Kane. After the game in Spain against Real, he was seen to stop n give interviews to all Spanish media outlets, sometimes answering as many as 5 or 6 questions with one outlet. I heard this on Sky's Sunday Supplement from one of the Jurno's who said it raised eyes among the English media who Harry, for a change was economical with. It may mean nothing of course, then again? Time will tell what happens at Spurs, but with Alderweireld openly stating he is no closer to signing a new contract, you can kinda see the future with Levy holding the purse strings.

Last night was another example of our pathetic performances in front of goal. It took a huge deflection for us to score, Morata ran around his left peg again when through on goal and Willian needs to have his passport checked to see if he really is Brazilian as his technique sidefooting the ball into a empty net was as bad I have seen this decade. Throw in half a dozen other chances we wasted and you get a flavour of what is truly holding us back this season. When will pull Barca or PSG on Monday we can thank our poor finishing, although there is one name which will have us all jumping up n down. Why would anyone want Bale? Great player when fit, a injury liability which will end his stay in Madrid. We dont need that gamble, United do, they are panicking they will become the new Liverpool. We should Cherry pick from all those guys about to leave Spurs. They will be soon saying last one out switch the lights off on the new stadium as they join winning clubs n proper footballer wages.

Leicester City Discussion
The Liquidator replied to Stan's topic in Premier League - English Football Forum
I appreciate all the responses to my question. Drinkwater has started off well for us without actually producing work that gets a goal, but because of his work at the end of the pitch I had not seen him frequent so often for Leicester, I was wondering if this was something Conte had seen in him to do, or something he had already produced at Leicester? If he continues to be a link between the midfield n forwards and brings some of his improved possession to fruition in the way of goals, I would not be surprised if he gets himself on the plane to Russia next year. Thanks again for the great read!! -
Leicester City Discussion

I wonder if I can take a moment of Leicester City's fans time by asking a question about Danny Drinkwater? While I had seen him play for Leicester I couldnt consider myself as knowing all his game and how the club used him in there set up. Over the last couple of games he has started for Chelsea its been seen he has been released many times breaking through from a deep laying position where's he has either tried the final ball or a attempt on goal. Alas he hasnt really been excelling at either act, but I have been impressed with his timing of runs and running away from the player marking him, so my question is, is this something you guys saw him do at your club, or as I remember him, he was more a permanent fixture holding midfielder who would get a nose bleed if traveled too far up front? -
Ok, much to write. Seen the weekend game a few times now. On the whole, their goal woke us up and from that point on we were impressive without scoring the amount of goals that should have been between the two sides. Sorry Cicero, your guy was outbattled by a little bloke for the first goal allowing the ball to become a bit like a pin ball as it finally ended up in our net. As much as I have been impressed with Christenson with the ball at his feet where he is well above average, when defending up tight he goes to ground far too quickly, pretty much folds like a pack of cards. I suggest he gets in the weight room. In his defence, I dont think it helps the continued changing of the back 3 by the manager. I think Moses will hope for Richie to be marking him for the rest of the season. I dont think I have seen him have such the upper hand over a guy for at least a season. Kante is in a class of his own and it must be said Drinkwater fits in, just does not seem to have that final pass, or finishing ability we would hope for. He could get better. Cesc was cesc, Hazard looked a million dollars, just cant finish for Toffee and needs to be taken off Penalties. Morata scored with his head again and continues to fall over far too often, although he should have got a penalty from the keeper in the first half. Good win, Newcastle are very poor. Onto the crap being spoken by weakminded fools on Bakayoko. I am sure I dont need to point out to fellow Chelsea fans the agenda both the TV media and Written media have when speaking of our club. While Bakayoko has been pretty abysmal in front of goal over the last few games he has started, for anybody to talk down about the rest of his game is pretty much trying to fuel the weakminded into something that is wrong. He is a very powerful player who I believe, as well as the club is a HUGE upgrade on the guy who played there last season. When you hear the media dickheads talking his last few performances down, just think back to the games he played when he first came into the team, Tottenham at Wembley for instance. Outstanding prospect who will just get better with a season under his belt like all players new to this country. Michael Emenalo. For a long time I believed him to be the Spy in the camp, reporting directly to Roman. I was told that many of the players did not trust him during his early years and very few of the managers agreed with the many players he put forward as signings. As the years rolled and he saw off manager after manager, things are said to have got better with him and he became a well liked man at the club. He even won Jose over when he returned to the club. Emenalo, on hearing Jose was returning offered his resignation to Roman, stating Jose would not want to work with him and it would be best if he moved on allowing Jose a free hand to start. As we all know Roman turned him down and Jose is said to have been very impressed with his offer and tried to make the relationship work from the start. Granted over his time he made a few good signings, but for every good, there are 2 or 3 poor. We won alot of trophies while he was at the club so he couldnt have been all bad and I wish him well in Monaco. This move I find interesting when you think back to the side someone at Monaco put together last season, pretty much from scratch on the cheap n found themselves in the CL SF. Lastly, news that Hazard, who kept bringing up his new contract at the start of the season when he had a busted ankle, has now refused to sign the new contract offered him, preferring to wait till the end of the season. I guess we better keep an eye on Real's season as we can do with a change of manager there.

Before Cicero accuses me of being a glass half empty kinda guy, todays game is a clear example of a game when we should have scored far more than our final total, which I feel highlights what a poor finishing team we are. Obviously not in Arsenals poor class of finishing, but still we can forget beating either side currently above us on goals scored come the end of the season. More to offer once I have watched the game a couple more times.
-
Yeah a lot of truth to what you say True Blue. The manager rested a few and brought in a few who we dont see start so often. With a slice of luck or two we managed to find 3 points with a below average performance infront of goal. I found the game frustrating and fully expected the ending of opposition attacking to get something from the game in the last 20 mins. Cant say we looked safe as houses at the back, but we did enough to hold on. One presumes last nights 11 will enable us to start our strongest on Saturday when Newcastle come a visiting.

I have always believed, Never give a Sucker an even break, but it is very strange to have so many suckers in one group. Still, whatever floats your boat & keeps your conspiracy alive

Boy played well at the weekend and deserves praise.

On the face of it one would think it was a good result at the weekend. For me we lost 2 points by playing far too defensive against a team ripe for the taking. Ok so I have sat through the game a number of times, as per normal. Outside of a miss control by Bakayoko which lead too the celebration of a man who still held in his heart the chance of wearing Blue, it is difficult to see how Liverpool were going to get a goal, so that part of Conte’s plan was fine. The amount of times Drinkwater was sprung free during the game makes you wonder if that had been Fabragas, what would have been the end result? I guess there is an argument Fabregas slow little legs might not have got him to the ball. Well he wasn’t to know Liverpool would, for me, start a weakened 11, but he should have known they are no better than last season and again, there is an argument outside of their front 3 they are a weaker outfit. So was the manager over cautious? Maybe before the game he had talked himself into believing a point was the best we could do because of fixtures congestion? I would say the evidence of the night, he was badly wrong. Footnote: How about that Willian?
