  2. Serves me right tbh for being greedy. I was doing Stoke and Bolton all the way which predictably sailed in, but with only £27 odd winnings back, I thought I'd go for a bigger fish. Have learnt my lesson. Play the odds.
  3. 3mins gone. Wycombe 0-2 Exeter. I fucking hate this shit.
  4. Wycombe 11/10 to beat Exeter Oxford 6/5 to beat Cambridge £10 @ 3.62/1 wins £46.20
  5. I wouldn't fret about that mate. It's very much a wait and see on us although I do think Sinisterra is one who could light up this division, if he stays. Your team is decent to be far. Without having seen any football to judge it on, you really never know how its gonna go but the beauty with gaffr is all the chips allow you to get back in it. I think the obvious thing with yours currently is perhaps the lack of Saints which judging on tonight, does a look a slight misjudgement. Can always bring one in next week though.
  6. It's an old nickname mate. Used to be known as 'The Peacocks' back in the day because there was a pub called 'The Old Peacock' which was right outisde Elland Road. We also used to have a Peacock as our badge/crest in the 70's too so it's all a nod to that.
  7. 8 the same, with 2 of them on the bench. I would assume most template teams will have Dieng, Rankin-Costello, Manning, Sinisterra, Ward-Prowse, Dewsbury-Hall and Davis.
  8. If we transfer you the money mate, do you want to PM and let me know the details and ill put mine in.
  9. Too late isn't it, they have stayed up and others have gone down as a result. They got so so lucky they really did. They are 100% going down this season, absolute turd they are and then it'll be like rats leaving a sinking ship. The best two commodities they have are Brennan Johnson and Morgan Gibbs-White, that's literally it and if they are in that much of the shit, they'll have to sell one definitely, maybe even both. My only hope is that we pass them on their way down with a smug smile because it'll serve as some form of redemption.
  10. I'm happy to do so but normally with these things, its better everyone says yes before a ball is kicked and money is paid up front If they don't, I'm happy to do an individual bet mate, who finishes above who, tenner? (Or as you have a little one, fiver so she can still eat at night)
  11. Striker - Georgino Rutter - Out for the first two games, wait and see after that. Striker - Patrick Bamford - Out till the first international break (First 5 League Games) Striker - Matteo Joseph (From the U23's) Rolled ankle in training Tuesday, on crutches, out the first three to four weeks indefinitely with ligament damage. This club, honestly. Cursed. August is going to feel a very very long month for us, especially as whilst they are here, Adams, Harrison, Drameh, Dallas etc are not options currently for us through injury. Our season feels like it'll start at Millwall on September 17th after the internationals which by then, we will hopefully have some injured players back and we'll also know for definite whose stayed, who hasn't, and whose come in. Until then, got to grin and bear it.
  12. Away for us. Its different, but it's not horrendous. I reckon it'll split opinion but they are definitely going to town on the Peacock feathers this year.
  13. There's no guarantee any of us do the deal to be fair. Swansea are going to milk it for all it's worth and I think he probably is being overpriced. All three of us are cautious not to overspend on someone with a year left, it's just whose going to be the most desperate and pay it. And I think right now, all three of us probably are that desperate
  14. Patrick Bamford hamstring injury yesterday a week before Cardiff. Just textbook Bamford that. The only way it could have been any more 'Leedsy' is if he pinged it the day after the window shut. No idea yet how long we've lost him for. Rutter taken off early too with a stomach strain. Got to pray the diagnosis on both is not too severe but the desperation for a striker now is huge, no idea who would lead the line on Sunday now. Just go get Piroe. Stop pratting about and get it done.
  15. Personally, I'd keep things simple and say avoid markets like that 2up thing.
  16. Are we doing a league this season? (Minus the randoms?) I just did a team quick, found it a bit difficult actually with so much uncertainty but in a way, it makes it more fun there's less predictable picks.
  17. Ok, I'll pick Southampton please @Pyfish
  18. Lazio Third looks absolute elite.
  19. Yep, been doing the rounds for ages that one. They want to flog Meslier and get someone more experienced in. For The Championship he's a decent option. I think if we went up, we'd probably want to replace him but for where we're at now, its a solid option.

    Work/Jobs Thread

Had a bit of battle with my work lately that I seem to have won for the meantime at least. They want to get us back in an office but since Covid, we've proven we not only give more to the job working at home, we have less distractions, offer more flexibility and actually save the company money in additional electricity etc. When it first happend, I never thought I'd get on with it, I am a people person and like the camaraderie of the people in the office but I must admit, I like how it is with work now. I like working in my own space, not having to leave earlier and get home later due to driving to and from in rush hour, having the benefits of being able to do some house chores in between work. I actually feel like Covid perhaps made me quite detatched from the working environment enough not to miss it anymore. It feels so much more chilled to be in your own space and as my job requires overtime a lot, I'm usually pretty accomodating to do it because of how the situation works for me. They have relented for now and eased off but its interesting to know if this is something anyone else has gone through?

Sorry John, I don't see Old Faithful in this? Why has she be disgarded when there's lashings of gravy that needed spooning up?
