  1. @nudge, the landscape on Mars and those rocks billions of years old, some of the boulders look like pieces of shale, it made me look at the 3 pieces of shale I have from the 12/14th century old Wick Castle I found when I worked up there in 2000, they look similar to me but I guess I am only dreaming...sigh Wick Castle Shales/Rock Wick Castle Mars Landscape
  2. Looking at that video this frame did my head in, that must have been sitting like that for ages and maybe in a 100 years time it might fall off.
  3. That's £10 donated to start the ball rolling for this months total.
  4. That's the first thing I thought when I saw the tail not moving but it's still funny how the kitten jumps and runs.
  5. Nice and cool weather now creeping in, winter is just around the corner, I can hack this weather easy but the colder the better for me.
  6. Windtalkers (2002) - Nicholas Cage - Action/Drama/War 7.5/10
  7. I will more than likely get it but not at the same time as my flue jab, I will get it separately, I have the docs this Wednesday so I will discuss it then, I know the wife is dogmatic she is not getting a third jab as the last one knocked her for six.

It reminded me of the time in Australia when I was 12 years old, I refused to get up and go to school, my mum then dragged me out of bed and shoved me in the bathroom and told me to brush my teeth and get washed as you ARE going to school...WRONG... I climbed out of the bathroom window, run down the back alley, and bumped into a neighbour's dog called Blacky and that was me gone for 2 days, me and Blackie walked through a bush area in Dandenong, and we slept in a churchyard and on Port Melbourne beach, I only got caught when I was sitting on a beach wall with Blacky beside me and his owner spotted him and me and bought us home in his car. Little stories are filtering through now about Austin who went missing and was found through the wife' s 'Grapeline'...the phone Apparently, before he went missing he wanted to go for a sleepover around his mate's house but his mum said no, so he eventually sneaked out of the house behind his mum and partner's back and did a runner, just waiting now for more info from the wifes 'Grapeline', this is becoming another Never Ending Story.

What an awful bloody Friday night and all day Saturday up until around six o clock last night because one of our great, great, nephews went missing in Dunbar on Friday night, his bike was found lying on the ground. There was me and the wife just sitting here nervous as fuck while members of the family, neighbours and others went searching for him but thank fuck police sniffer dogs traced and found him but there are a lot of questions that need answering like how he managed to cross a major motorway to the spot he was found with a sprained foot? There was me down with a virus all week, felt better Friday so thought I would have a bottle of wine Saturday night with the wife and relax but as soon as the wife got a call from family about him going missing that was the drink put on hold and we sat there expecting the worse. Thank god, though, when the police found him and thank fuck for police sniffer dogs, I sank 2 bloody bottles of wine after that with the wife gulping down here too. A bit of a hangover now but it was worth it, the young lad was one of many great, great nephews we have in our 70-odd years of life and all around Dunbar & Dalkeith last night family and friends were relieved he was found ok.
  10. I can't remember having a school canteen either when I was out there, used to go to a shop across from the school and get a big Boston cream bun.
  11. Well, I have had my 2 jabs and was not worried about getting the third one until this week when I felt ill as fuck, it felt like I had the old flu before I had the yearly flu jab, dizzy, coughing, couldn't sleep, sneezing, hard trying to breathe. Enough was enough for me so I just rang 111 and told the lady what my problem was, she checked my medical data and saw all my details, Age, COPD, Asthma, Sciatica, Heart Failure Condition etc and then she told me to ring 999 and they would send an ambulance around to check me over which I did. They checked me over and even gave me a Covid test (I never had one before) and that tested as negative, they also said everything was fine, blood pressure, temp, breathing etc, and they said I must have had a virus but it was going away. I am still in two minds about getting a third booster and as I am getting my yearly flu jab in October I will have the chance if I want to get a third Covid jab when I am getting my flu jab but our daughter said DONT get the two jabs together, arrange them at different times and dates, as she has done nursing and care work for the elderly and children I will take her advice on that one. Aftermath...I will be having a bloody bottle of wine or 2 tonight since I have not had a drink since I fell ill last Friday.
