We're fucking awful and it's a miracle that it's taken this long for them to score. I was already thinking of not watching the rest of this.

I think he gets a bit of the ball on first glance there but if the officials don't think he did and it's a foul, surely that's a red card?

Yeah, makes no sense. Looked like the ref's thinking was I'm not sure if he got the ball or not, so I'll be safe and just give a yellow.

Ancelotti has fixed the shape mid game again so fair play but why do we persist with the 442 from the start when it keeps needing major surgery at half time?

We can sort of defend and Richarlison is class. We've also got a horribly unbalanced squad and one of the best managers of his generation can't even settle on an XI and system that he likes.

Lucky to come away with a point (against Southampton at home ffs) on the balance of the 90 minutes despite the improvement after half-time. Grim grim grim. End this season please.

Southampton are decent away from home to be fair. Not an awful result for Everton

Not awful but you saw that first half performance. We've been outplayed at home by a team we should be better than (but aren't at the moment you'd have to say). We need major improvements. Most of the last 10-15 years we've seen off most clubs outside the top 4/6 consistently at home and we need to get that back. They're a mid-table side. They might be a mid-table side who are good on the road but they're still a mid-table side.

I look forward to James Ward-Prowse receiving his retrospective two-match ban for successful deception of a match official except he won't because they only did that to Oumar Niasse and Manuel Lanzini and no player has successfully deceived a match official to their team's advantage since, promise!

If there was a crowd there to witness that first half performance there would have been a proper Goodison atmosphere, I promise you.
