Yeah, it's a shame it has to be played behind closed doors... Maybe the away match in April will be an option, though. Either way, good luck tomorrow.

Thanks, but the match is played on Sunday.:)

I know, their historic success is modest, and most of us , if not all, never heard of them before (I definitely wasn't aware of their existence). Still it's frustrating news and would set an unpleasant example regarding the relation of football clubs and community they're situated in. Also it's always sad news to read such things about grass root football.

PS: Didn't link the article in the Lübecker Nachrichten sportbuzzer are referring to, because it is behind a pay wall.

Watching our match vs Lübeck today brought back memories of the 2010 world cup in South Africa with the Vuvuzelas.

That's pretty much how it sounded the whole 90 minutes.

@Rucksackfranzose

I hope I can count on you that our match will take place tomorrow

Well, I've heard nothing opposite. Saarbrücken is located in the southern half of Germany, it's about 10°C here and it looks absolutely not as if it would be snowing til tomorrow, therefore expect the game to be played.

Ich hatte nur was gelesen, dass es grundsätzlich irgendwelche Probleme mit dem Rasen im Ludwigspark gibt?

And thanks for explaining to me where Saarbrücken is located ;)

Die gibt es, soweit ich weiß, soll das Spiel dennoch im Ludwigspark stattfinden. Habe mich schlecht ausgedrückt, hätte sagen sollen südlich von der katastrophalen Wetterlage.xD

@Faithcore, there's a good chance I've got to eat my words from yesterday and the match will be postponed, since it's snowing here now. Not sure the match will take place, as it's doubtful they manage the issues the pitch at Ludwigspark has anyway and the snow together.

At least it is indeed called after the sight ,where it's builded in combination with stadium rather than a arena with a sponsored name of a casino enterprise.:P

Can't hear you over all the free time I have due to non-postponed matches.

First of all- I apologize, this article is in German; it's not easy to find English sources for 3.Liga. Still this article is really worth reading as it contains a summary of intriguing parts of Uerdingen's liquidator's report. The good news is the Liquidator is hopeful Uerdingen can maintain their game operations regardless if they stay in 3.Liga or will be relegated to RL. The mesmerizing parts are in no particular order, though:

- the liquidator claiming Uerdingen's insolvency has nothing to do with Covid, but was already foreseeable in January 2020

- the liquidator trying to get paid wages back from former players arguing that some players knew the financial position KFC were in and exploited their issues immorally

- the liquidator attempting to bring to liability former club officials and former investor Ponomarev , the latter as he signed letters of comfort for the club in unlimited sums

I don't get that part at all.  I could see a club asking existing players for wage deferrals to cut costs, but asking the players to pay back wages?  Ridiculous.
