Brentford Cryptic Transfers

Recommended Posts

So something our owner has done since he bought us out has been to post cryptic messages about a signing and let the fanbase work it out...and we have our first of the season. Normally it comes from Twitter, this time he's used an old account he had on our fans forum. The clues are normally musically influenced, normally.

Anyway first clue is: Phil Giles instrumental in the free transfer of “JoJo”

Phil Giles is the name of our DoF, assume we've signed someone on a free transfer and the name JoJo refers to the player. Someone has come up with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jojo_Mayer

The link being that Maximillian Meyer formerly of Crystal Palace is currently a free agent.

Another vague guess that doesn't really have a musical connotation is Josh King who's middle name is Kojo.

But yeah, knock yourselves out

It's a riddle not a joke?...i.e. have a crack if like me you're bored at work all day on a Saturday with no football to watch

It's different, I'll give you that. I just don't get the point of doing it xD

Same here.

Understand that it's a riddle but just don't see the point in it at all. Bit cringe tbh xD.
