Toony Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Huge game. If Wales lose then its tough to see them qualifying, and no Gareth Bale to rely on either. I don't fancy them at all.

Administrator Stan Posted June 11, 2017 Administrator Posted June 11, 2017 Wales 1 up with about 25 to go. A Ramsey chipped penalty after some dreadful goal-keeping keeping the teams apart. Big win for Wales if they hold on. Means they close the gap on their opponents and Ireland.
Administrator Stan Posted June 11, 2017 Administrator Posted June 11, 2017 Turns out they can't hold on to the lead. Nice play from Serbia ends with Mitrovic equalising. 1-1.
Subscriber Dan+ Posted June 11, 2017 Subscriber Posted June 11, 2017 Wales have drawn their last 5 games, one 0-0 and the other they had the lead and threw it away Very interesting group this is. This matchday sums it up. Three draws. Very hard to call a winner.

Massive two points to drop for Wales though, especially seeing as Bale was out suspended. A win here would have shut a lot of the "one man team" hecklers up. I love Mitro but I don't think he's got a future with us, Rafa doesn't trust him but you can't dispute the fact that he cares and that has been a rare quality in a Newcastle over the last few years. If he does leave I'll be sad to see him go.
Bluebird Hewitt Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Considering the circumstances, a draw would have been great anyway but once again, that's yet another two points thrown away. Still only 4 points off the top but we must win all 4 now to stand a chance.

You'd expect to win the other 3 against Moldova, Austria and Georgia.
