Eco Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Ballspielverein Borussia 09 e.V. Dortmund, commonly known as Borussia Dortmund [boˈʁʊsi̯aː ˈdɔʁtmʊnt],[2]BVB, or simply Dortmund, is a German sports club based in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia (Borussia is the Latin equivalent of Prussia). The football team is part of a large membership-based sports club with more than 145,000 members,[3] making BVB the second largest sports club by membership in Germany. Dortmund plays in the Bundesliga, the top tier of the German football league system. Dortmund is one of the most successful clubs in German football history All discussion relating to BvB that does not warrant its own thread (i.e. - players signing new contracts, newspaper clippings etc...) should take place here.

Eco Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 A lot of noise around Dahoud since Klopp tried to nab him. Rumors were that he was expected to move to BvB, but now I'm hearing more Liverpool/Arsenal/AC Milan rumors. Dahoud hasn't had a great year thus far, but he's young and doesn't seem willing to sign a contract extension, so I can't see him staying in Mönchengladbach for much longer.
Moderator Tommy Posted March 8, 2017 Moderator Posted March 8, 2017 Last news I heard was that he's set for Dortmund. We'll see if there will ever be a confirmation. Very talented young guy, who maybe needs to take the next step to further his development. He's excellent against since Hecking took over.
Eco Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 Have you heard anything as to why he seems hesitant to sign an extension for Gladbach?

Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted March 8, 2017 Subscriber Posted March 8, 2017 Honestly i think hes the perfect fit for Dortmund, missing puzzle peice etc. Going to have a scary good team in the near future.
ProXma Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I'm sure he will go to BVB. I think this is best choice for him, but I'm disappointed Gladbach will receive only 10m€ (probably)...
Moderator Tommy Posted March 15, 2017 Moderator Posted March 15, 2017 Gonzo extended his contract until 2020!

God is Haaland Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 How will his future look like? We will use a dynamic back-five more often and he'll be the 3rd wheel of our back-three. He will become our right full back We will loan him out for 6 or 12 months We will sell him
Moderator Tommy Posted March 21, 2017 Moderator Posted March 21, 2017 Dude needs to see a psychologist. He just lacks confidence.
God is Haaland Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 A psychologist? That sound pretty harsh. Are you sure a few succesful games won't be enough? Do you think he could replace either Sokratis, Bartra or Toprak next season? It looks like we are not planning with him, at least not as our CB.
Kloppische Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Yeah, the future in Dortmund doesn't look great for Ginter, every time he plays it seems like he's scared. We should be looking for another CB I think.

God is Haaland Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Strange that there's not a single picture, now that everyone owns a smartphone.
God is Haaland Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I almost forgot how many chnaces Miki wasted.
God is Haaland Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 According to kicker he cost us €12mio without boni. Five years ago that would have been insanely high. Nowerdays that's cheap.
Moderator Tommy Posted March 30, 2017 Moderator Posted March 30, 2017 If you consider that Dortmund sold Jonas Hofmann to Gladbach for 8 Mio, 12 Mio. are less than peanuts.

I think Jonas's fee was higher, because he had more than just one year left on his contract. But still I agree and I'm rubbing my hands right now.
