Dave Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Cardiff City kick us off with a good signing from League Two in Forest Green's box-to-box midfielder Ebou Adams. Quote
Bluebird Hewitt Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Don't know much about him, but heard he was one of Forest Green Rovers stand out players last season. If he can bring the energy he says he has, that would be superb as we are in need of an engine in midfield (we are just far too slow in midfield). Quote
Bluebird Hewitt Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 (edited) We've apparently made a second signing. Jak Alnwick will join from St. Mirren on a free transfer. EDIT: Confirmed https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61479780 Edited May 17, 2022 by Bluebird Hewitt Quote
Bluebird Hewitt Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 (edited) Medical being completed for Ollie Tanner, a 20 year old playing for Lewes in the Isthmian League. Apparently Spurs were looking at him, but he wanted first team football, which is..............ambitious, to say the least. He'll apparently be in the first team for us rather than the under 23's. Let's hope he's as confident in making the huge step up. EDIT: Confirmed now. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61500289 Edited May 18, 2022 by Bluebird Hewitt Quote
Bluebird Hewitt Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 We're apparently close to making our 4th signing of the season, with Jamilu Collins joining from Paderborn. Fair play, we need a fair amount of signings for numerous positions and we're starting nice and early for a change. Quote
Dave Posted May 27, 2022 Author Posted May 27, 2022 Out of nowhere Kal Naismith has joined Bristol City. Quote
Lucas Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 That Luton team is getting ripped apart. They will struggle next season. Quote

There fans don't seem that worried just because of how good recruitment has been previously. Other than Adebayo they don't forsee others leaving and are optimistic he could go for "silly money". In all honesty I'm not sure what team he could go too. Quote

The two sides that got business done early last season were Huddersfield and Luton. They both ended up making the playoffs. Quote
Administrator Stan Posted May 28, 2022 Administrator Posted May 28, 2022 Luton may be getting one of our youngsters in, Callum Wright. If it becomes a good move like it was for Dewsbury-Hall, then I'm for it. Had a very good season at Cheltenham this year. Quote
Administrator Stan Posted June 8, 2022 Administrator Posted June 8, 2022 Norwich sign Isaac Hayden Quote
Dave Posted June 8, 2022 Author Posted June 8, 2022 That's a very good signing for a Championship club. Quote
Bluebird Hewitt Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 5th signing of the season made. Callum O'Dowda joins us after being released by Bristol City. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61737951 Fair play, we love a Bristol City reject. Quote
Bluebird Hewitt Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 6th signing made. Vontae Daley-Campbell joins us from Leicester. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61813774 Unfortunately, this could mean the end of any potential transfer or loan for Cody Drameh. @Stan, @Dan - Heard much about him at all? He made a couple of appearances for us this season. One of the games he did alright (think it was a Cup game against Brighton?). Another game he looked completely out of his depth and struggled. That doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence in fairness. Let's see if signing number 7 can do the trick, Mahlon Romeo from Millwall. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61817119 Quote
Bluebird Hewitt Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Signing number 8. Ryan Allsop leaves Derby for us. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61828036 That'll likely see Phillips being sold, seeing as we have Allsop and Alnwick fighting for the number 1 jersey and Luthra as backup. Quote
Administrator Stan Posted June 16, 2022 Administrator Posted June 16, 2022 How many players are you planning to sign Quote
Bluebird Hewitt Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Just now, Stan said: How many players are you planning to sign Tbf, we had about 10 out of contract this season, of which only 1 of them (Ralls) has been offered a new contract. With how things have been the last couple of years, we're trying to dramatically lower the wage bill and freshen up the squad. A bit like what Mackay had to do when he first joined us. This will either be a masterstroke or we'll be in deep trouble this season. Quote
Dave Posted June 16, 2022 Author Posted June 16, 2022 Josh Laurent has joined Stoke City from Reading. That's a good signing. Even better if they can land his partner in midfield Rinomhota too. 1 Quote

Dave Posted June 20, 2022 Author Posted June 20, 2022 Harry Darling to Swansea looks like a good move all round. MK Dons already have a replacement in Tucker from Gillingham. Quote
Claret and Blue Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 Id love Callum O'hare from Coventry And John swift from reading at Burnley Quote
