Just learned next season the round of 16 will be played on 2 days again, while the quarterfinals will be played on 4 different days in 2 weeks. Hate how they mess around with this great competetion to create money. It's not likeDFB were poor either, many enterprise would love it, if they had to pay 46M Euros more on tax for three years than they expected.

Yea, it was very confusing that the DFB Pokal started again, but some of the fixtures were a week later. Annoying.

Both of our usual fullbacks, Zimmermann and Karbownik, are injured. So I'm looking forward to how they'll compensate that. Hopefully it's Tim Oberdorf's redemption day today. He made some awful mistakes last game that lead to Paderborn's goals.

Well fuck that.

We weren't great, but better than Nürnberg. Wasted plenty of chances. Nürnberg had like one shot on goal in the 2nd half, and it was deflected and went in.

Penalty shooutout. Our keeper saves a shot, but it has to be re-taken because he left the line too early apparently. It goes in, our 21 year old striker misses his penalty on his debut. Nürnberg wins.

Fucking hell.

Looking, who qualified for the quarterfinals:

Buli top 6: Bayern, Union, Dortmund, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Freiburg

Another Buli club: Stuttgart

And finally a 2.Liga club: Nürnberg

Although I love an upset and/or underdog success as much as anybody else, perhaps even more so, have to admit that's nominally the strongest quarterfinals we've had for quite a while.

The quarterfinals have been drawn:

Leipzig - Dortmund

Nürnberg - Stuttgart

Frankfurt - Union

Bayern - Freiburg

Some good matches. Nice to see an underdog will go to the semis since Nürnberg play Stuttgart.

Please, Dortmund. Do us all a favour.

The games arescheduled:

4. April 2023
18 Uhr: Eintracht Frankfurt - Union Berlin (ZDF und "Sky")
20.45 Uhr: Bayern München - SC Freiburg (ARD und "Sky")

5. April 2023
18 Uhr: 1. FC Nürnberg - VfB Stuttgart ("Sky")
20.45 Uhr: RB Leipzig - Borussia Dortmund (ZDF und "Sky")

Bit disappointing the only match featuring a 2.Liga team is the only game not shown on free TV.:( The station's choice is comprehensible, though.
