Real Madrid is currently #1 when it comes to common sense though. Since, well, you know, they won the Champions League.

Winning a cup doesn't make you the best team in the world, the ranking of 6th place is probably correct 👍

Why can't Man City do it then?

Been unlucky, that's all  ..you don't really think that Madrid team is better than Liverpool or Munich do you? 🤔

The best teams create their own luck.

Think the table is pretty accurate if I'm being honest. Real won the Champions League but it was very much a tactical grind to do so. Relied on a lot of luck as well as Benzema putting in Balon d'Or performances.

I'd put them above PSG and us but Liverpool, City, Bayern are ahead.

I answered your question 40 minutes ago during my first reply to the thread.

("Real Madrid is currently #1 when it comes to common sense" ) 🤔  ...think i will stick with the global rankings instead mate ;)  ..lets face it, the CL has very little merit anyway, Chelsea won it from mid table and if Liverpool had won it this year they wouldn't even of been the best team in England 😂 ..no, these rankings are correct, top 3 100% 4-6 not a lot in it

League cup as little merit but you win it every season. Why not the Champions League?

Teams that win the Champions League tend to always be clubs that have won it already given the amount of pressure that is off them in comparison to clubs with zero European pedigree.

I mean, if you're going off of global rankings then this is the only valid one.

Correct, cups are nice to win but they don't make you the best team in the world for reasons i pointed out above. if we had a super league the top 3 would be us, Liverpool and Munich with you, Madrid & PSG fighting it out for 4th going off this season

I'll ask again.

Madrid is 4th on that list mate ;) ..the top 3 is correct, you can argue we should be above Liverpool being the champions of England and all, Munich are another strong team, you could make a case for them  being first, i think City are better but this ranking system makes more sense than winning the CL and being crowned the best

The league cup has little merit, i agree with you  ..the CL is nice but doesn't make you the best team in the world like some claim, thats all i'm saying

But why can't you win it like the league cup? Both little merit (to you) and both require luck?

This year we was very unlucky with the mad few minutes in injury time, don't think that would of happened if Walker didn't go off injured and we hammered Madrid at the Etihad   ..Liverpool may well of done us in the final with the players we had out injured, especially Dias and Walker

Yet Man City still try as hard as they can to win it, but fail...

If you haven't already realised, I don't care much about where teams are placed on lists.

Real Madrid beat Liverpool in the Champions League final, therefore they are the better team on paper. If Liverpool were better, they'd have won.

If Rangers were better than Frankfurt they'd have won the Europa League final, but we weren't, so we didn't.

It's all about opinions i guess
