6666 Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Main points: - Transfer fees can be spread up to a limit of 5 years regardless of a contract length being longer. - Will come in during the summer and won't apply retrospectively. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64383217
Administrator Stan Posted January 24, 2023 Administrator Posted January 24, 2023 Nice to see they've been somewhat proactive about this and stopped clubs taking the piss over a series of transfer windows.
Cicero Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Cool. I wonder when these dodgy sponsorships that keep popping up for Man City finally ends up on UEFA's to do list.
Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted January 24, 2023 Subscriber Posted January 24, 2023 There was an athletic article talking about the saga around Odegaard back before Real Madrid signed him. Was an interesting read but the little tidbit included was ultimately Odegaards father ended up with a job coaching U11's (I think?) making a cool £2.7m with the contract which was roughly 10 times what anyone else qualified would earn. Id like to call it the ManCity loophole but unless they start looking at these things idk if it matters.
