Administrator Stan Posted July 12, 2023 Administrator Posted July 12, 2023 https://www.teamtalk.com/news/exclusive-bournemouth-lead-tottenham-west-ham-race-alex-scott-match-record-cherries-signing Quote Bournemouth are ahead of Tottenham, West Ham and Wolves in the chase for in-demand Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott, TEAMtalk understands. Scott is regarded as one of the best young talents in the country after impressing for Bristol City over the past two years. Despite being just 19 years of age, the playmaker has already racked up 91 senior appearances for his current side. His form for Bristol City has resulted in him becoming an important part of the England U20 squad, while he is also attracting attention from a number of Premier League clubs. Tottenham, West Ham and Wolves have all started to monitor his development. Wolves had a bid for Scott rejected in the January transfer window and they remain interested in the exciting teenager. But they could find it difficult to meet Bristol City’s £25million asking price due to their troublesome financial situation. West Ham, meanwhile, are keen on Scott as they look to reinvest some of the money from Declan Rice’s impending sale to Arsenal, but TEAMtalk understands the Irons are reluctant to splash out £25m for the teenager. Those factors have paved the way for Bournemouth to make a move for Scott after he emerged as a key target for the Cherries. Bournemouth are set to back new manager Andoni Iraola in the transfer market this summer and are therefore ready to test Bristol City’s resolve by meeting their £25m asking price, TEAMtalk has been told. Should the Guernsey-born ace join Bournemouth for that sum, then he would equal their club-record signing. The south coast outfit also spent £25m when landing midfielder Jefferson Lerma from Levante in August 2018
Reluctant Striker Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 Sort of disappointed it's not the Football Focus Alex Scott joining the mens game.
Lucas Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 Admitedly, I never saw him play a lot last season but this is an absolute madness price for someone untested at PL level. Personally, not sure Wolves should be pinning their survival hopes on a 19 year old kid from the Championship when they have lost the experience they have so far this summer.

Price is pretty fair tbh, £25m is standard for young, top level Championship player that can step up to the Prem.
Honey Honey Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 I didn't know Alex Scott was still playing. Would this be the first female to play in the men's Premier League?
Dave Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Bournemouth does feel like a logical next move for him.
Administrator Stan Posted August 10, 2023 Author Administrator Posted August 10, 2023 Bournemouth have got themselves a good one
