Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted October 24, 2023 Subscriber Posted October 24, 2023 The chairman Bill Kenwright has passed away. RIP and hopefully our fans, even those who loathed him, can separate the football issues from the personal side of an old man dying during this time because god knows there are people who will use any excuse to take the words or actions of one or two idiots and use it to cast aspersions on an entire fanbase in football.
Whiskey Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 Don't listen to TalkSport, back to back calls about them naughty Evertonians calling for a better club. The media agenda is in overdrive as expected, some absolute shite being spouted. As for Bill, never nice to hear about anyone passing. He was a husband, father, grandfather and that carries weight - any human being leaving this place is something to be respected
Administrator Stan Posted October 24, 2023 Administrator Posted October 24, 2023 Sad news to hear, whatever fans thought of him he's clearly someone who had passion for a club he held very close to his heart. Either way he leaves behind a family that loved him and that he loved. RIP Bill.
Dr. Gonzo Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 He left a legacy to British theatre behind too aside from being a football club chairman. RIP.
Dr. Gonzo Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 This speech the Hillsborough memorial in the dying days of when we could say the derby was a friendly derby was very nice
