Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted June 4, 2024 Subscriber Posted June 4, 2024 More smoke, Eberl was involved in bringing him to RB before and we had been already linked so the rumour makes sense. Complicated deal though. Quote
Administrator Stan Posted June 4, 2024 Administrator Posted June 4, 2024 I'm surprised PSG aren't giving him a go and seem intent on letting him go out on loan again. Quote

Yeah I dont get it either from their perspective. Supposedly he isnt against returning to PSG but wants assurances about playing time that they arent giving. Bizarre. Quote
Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted June 6, 2024 Subscriber Posted June 6, 2024 Barcelona feel a deal for Xavi Simons will be more complicated now with many clubs involved. Bayern especially are entering the race really strongly for Simons. Max Eberl is working on the deal and has the green light from Vincent Kompany - both believe that the Dutchman will be a great addition to the squad. Simons is expected to make a decision after the Euros. PSG have no intention of selling the player permanently this summer, but could allow him to leave on loan [ @FabrizioRomano Quote
Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted June 21, 2024 Subscriber Posted June 21, 2024 Exclusive | There are concrete negotiations: FC Bayern are pushing to sign #Xavi now! … the 21 y/o is the desired target for the offense. Max Eberl wants him! Concrete talks about a loan with an obligation to buy of more than €60-70m Bayern are optimistic about being able to finalize the deal. But Leipzig still have hopes as well! But it is a very complicated arrangement: PSG, PSV, RB and Bayern, all involved. @SkySportDE Quote
Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted July 2, 2024 Subscriber Posted July 2, 2024 - @FabrizioRomano : 'For Xavi Simons, we're still waiting for the decision of the player. It'll be after the Euros. More than the financial agreement, it's about what the player will decide. Bayern are pushing 'like crazy'. I'm told that Bayern are literally calling every single day to make the deal happen. They're 'obsessed' in a positive way with Simons. But there's still no final agreement and green light from the player. Leipzig are still there' Quote
Administrator Stan Posted July 22, 2024 Administrator Posted July 22, 2024 Man Utd now linked Quote Manchester United will look to beat Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig to the signature of Paris Saint-Germain winger Xavi Simons, according to Sport. Simons spent last season on loan at RB Leipzig, where he notched eight goals and 13 assists in the Bundesliga, attracting attention from across Europe in the process. The situation bears similarities with the deal that United struck for Leny Yoro last week. United were the underdogs to sign Yoro ahead of Real Madrid, and it's the same with Simons as PSG and Leipzig's strong connection makes a deal seemingly straightforward. However, an opportunity could open itself up for the Red Devils. United boss Erik ten Hag is a huge fan and his new assistant manager Ruud van Nistelrooy is attempting to convince the 21-year-old to join the club. PSG could be in a position to demand €100 million for the Netherlands international, a figure that would make a deal difficult for Bayern and Leipzig. Bayern have previously made an approach in the region of €70m, but the financial strength of United could win out. Barcelona have also been linked with Simons. The winger spent time in the youth academy at Barcelona, and the Catalan club are interested. However, they cannot compete with the financial demands any potential deal would bring, which effectively rules them out of the race. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/40612648/transfer-talk-man-utd-sign-simons-ahead-bayern-leipzig Quote
6666 Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 After losing Mbappe, you'd think PSG would want to keep hold of a young star that they can make the face of their post-Mbappe era. Quote

I was going to ask the same thing, why can't he play for PSG it doesn't make much sense. Quote
Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted July 23, 2024 Subscriber Posted July 23, 2024 Last 24 hours its sounded like RB emerged as favourites. Theres been speculation that PSG doesnt want to sell now so another year loan to RB would make sense on that front. Quote
Happy Blue Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Too good for United, they will destroy his career like so many others that have gone to them Quote
Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted July 29, 2024 Subscriber Posted July 29, 2024 Sounds like its done, multiple reports. One year loan to RB again, no purchase option supposedly. Probably go through this whole saga again in 1 years time. Quote
