Dave
In 1990, Egypt's 56 year wait to qualify for a World Cup ended. Despite being drawn in arguably the tournament's toughest group, the Egyptians put up a good fight and matched their opponents. Despite just coming short and bowing out with two points and a solitary goal, they recieved world wide praise and recognition for their tactics and performances. 28 years later they return. They may have won three consecutive AFCON titles in that time, but it's generation spearheaded by the much loved Mohammed Salah, that have qualified for the 2018 World Cup. Despite drawing the hosts, this draw appears to have been rather kind to Egypt, as there most difficult opponent appears to be a Uruguayan side going through a period of transition. How far do you think Egypt can go this summer?

Panna King
It will be a nightmare to live in The Netherlands during the World Cup, due to the high number of Moroccans and all the ones that will come crawling out from their cave, that live there. Their national team is made up of mostly of Dutch born Moroccans plus French and Belgian.

Guest
I think Egypt will get past the groups. Its not all about Salah, he's their star but there is talent in the Egyptian league as well as its the best league in Africa and there is a lot of under the radar talent at Al-Ahly and Zamalek. Its all about beating Russia really, which I think is possible.

Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted March 30, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted March 30, 2018 I see these friendly games pretty much like Pre-Season in the league. You can never tell how a team is going to do on the day but once it gets down to business teams start to show their true potential pretty quick. As for Portugal I'll say it again, never play Quaresma for a full game just sub him on, the amount of times he has come on and put on a blistering performance is unreal. True Blue
Depend too much on Salah, don't see them going through the group beside Russia and Uruguay.
