Thursday 12th April - CSKA Moscow (3) 2-2 (6) Arsenal (QF 2nd Leg)

Recommended Posts

Goal CSKA! A header is well saved by Cech but the rebound is tucked in to give the Russian side the lead.

Great initial reaction save from Cech but couldn't do anything about the follow up...

We are always shit when we play with Elneny instead of Xhaka. Wilshere is also having an absolute nightmare, genuinely think he should be lucky to be offered any sort of deal with the way he has played for the last few months.

Massive improvement need after the half. We are just far too passive here. Poor passing from everyone.

2-0! CSKA double their lead!

Golovin who has been CSKA's best player tests Cech with a long-range effort but keeper can't hold on. Another rebound slotted in from close range.

Goes to 3 at the back with Elneny, goes 2-0 down and Elneny is back in midfield. No sorry Elneny is now back a CB. xD

do they usually do that?

in recent seasons in the Champions league, knocked out on aggregate by:

10-2 vs Bayern
5-1 vs Barca
3-3 vs Monaco on away goals
3-1 vs Bayern
3-3 vs Bayern on away goals
4-3 vs Milan
4-3 vs Bayern
6-3 vs Barcelona
4-1 vs Man Utd

So that's twice in 9 seasons (I couldn't be arsed to look back further). Hardly 'usually'.

All those topless CSKA supporters is like watching a game at St James Park.... only with fitter slimmer supporters

Welbeck!

Arsenal get a goal back and it could be the most valuable. 5-3 on aggregate. CSKA need 2 more on the night now to take it to extra time.

Nearly Barcelona'd it but thankfully Welbeck doesn't hide like Messi when things aren't going well.
