Administrator Stan Posted September 4, 2017 Administrator Share Posted September 4, 2017 sorry sight for Algeria, that. Group D is so tight Uganda that far ahead of Ghana is surprising, too.
Azeem
@Stan Africa is a weird zone. Zambia who won the AFCON couldn't qualify for the next edition. Nigeria who couldn't qualify for two consecutive AFCON is likely to qualify for the world cup. Cameroon who won the AFCON is likely to miss the world cup. Guest
I said it at the start of the thread, the seeding is stupid. 1 goes to the World Cup per group yet they have a group that have 3 of teams that were in Brazil 2014 and Zambia who actually have an underrated team. If Uganda go to the World Cup, then Egypt are officially the biggest bottlers in international football.

Just because three teams made it to the last world cup doesn't mean they have to be at the next. Algeria is not even the shadow of the team they were,Nigeria couldn't qualify for 2015,2017 AFCON,Cameroon were terrible at the last world and haven't improved much. Azeem
South Africa v Senegal World Cup qualifier to be replayed after referee ban • Cas upholds life ban for referee Joseph Lamptey of Ghana • Match will be replayed in November’s international window Fifa has ordered the World Cup qualifier between South Africa and Senegal be replayed after the referee awarded a penalty for a nonexistent handball and was banned for life for match manipulation. The game, which South Africa won 2-1 in November last year, will be replayed this November on a date still to be decided. It says it made the decision to order a replay after the court of arbitration for sport upheld a life ban for the referee in question, Joseph Lamptey of Ghana. Fifa found Lamptey guilty of breaching the rule relating to “unlawfully influencing match results”. He gave a penalty for a nonexistent handball against the Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly during the game in Polokwane, South Africa. Replays showed the ball struck Koulibaly’s knee and dropped to the ground. South Africa scored the penalty and went on to win the qualifier for their only victory so far in the final round of qualifiers in Africa. A different result could have a big impact on the South Africa-Senegal group. Senegal trail the joint-leaders Burkina Faso and Cape Verde by a point.
