Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted August 17, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted August 17, 2018 Reims 1-0 Lyon. Pretty surprising result. Mariano, Depay, Traore didnt go to the World Cup so no excuses up front. 19 shots on goal without scoring apparently. Are they that reliant on Fekir? ...Dan
Without Fekir they don't have much creativity. Aouar didn't have a good game but I wouldn't have taken him off, he's the one that could make something happen. They already had 3 forwards on the pitch doing nothing, adding a fourth in Cornet in place of Aouar didn't help. Fair play to Reims, they played well and now have six points from their first two games against Nice and Lyon.
...Dan
Guingamp lead 1-0 against PSG at half time. Will watch some of the 2nd half before Arsenal kick off...hopefully they can hold on, PSG aren't at full strength so there could be an upset here. ...Dan
Not sure it was a foul and not a dive but Neymar wins a penalty, scores it, and now PSG will probably go on to win.
binder
Guingamp could have been up 2-0 after Buffon and a defender fell asleep on a sloppy play. The VARs took away the goal with a dubious foul call. In the second half Mbappe came on and changed the game, scoring two himself. Mbappe really reminds me of the original Ronaldo
...Dan
Nimes take the lead against OM. They've been playing well, and Bouanga did brilliantly to make space for the shot and then find the corner.

Administrator Stan Posted August 19, 2018 Administrator Share Posted August 19, 2018 never understood why Marseille keep Germain. They could do so much better than him as a striker.
...Dan
OM off to a good start in the 2nd half. Quick counter and lovely finish by Thauvin...1-1.
...Dan
Nimes back in front! Great work by Bouanga again, this time leading a counter attack, and Thioub finishes it off very well.
...Dan
Marseille haven't really threatened to equalise, and Ripart has made it 3-1 with 3 minutes left.
...Dan
Deserved 3 points for Nimes. Both promoted teams, Reims and Nimes, have 6 points out of six.

...Dan
Aouar dropped after a disappointing performance last week, Fekir only fit enough for the bench, and Morel keeps his place over new signing Jason Denayer. They could struggle again here if Strasbourg are organised at the back.
...Dan
Lyon's midfield not creating anything, just like last week. Ferland Mendy's pass was meant for Depay, which caused confusion in the defence, allowing Terrier to get in behind and he finished brilliantly against his former club. 1-0 at half time. Strasbourg will have to open up more now, so I hope Fekir and Aouar come on to take advantage.

...Dan
Counter attack, Depay puts Traore in, Traore shows composure to dummy past the keeper, dummy past a defender, and make it 2-0.
Dave
Lyon looked pretty comfortable against Strasbourg.
...Dan
Nice getting thrashed at home against Dijon. That's one point from three games for Vieira. Saman Ghoddos has got off to a good start with a goal on his debut for Amiens in a 4-1 win against Reims.
...Dan
Monaco lost at Bordeaux. Monaco didn't play well and were vulnerable to counter attacks the whole game, the youngster Pellegri was the only good thing for them, coming on and getting a goal to equalise, but a really well worked goal at the end won the game for the managerless side. ...Dan
Garcia not keeping faith with new signing Caleta Car after his disappointing debut, 18 year old Boubacar Kamara comes back in to partner Adil Rami. Bouna Sarr makes a miraculously quick comeback from injury to replace Sakai.

...Dan
Wow. Another mistake, another goal for Rennes. Pelé fails to hold a simple cross, Ismaila Sarr gets to the loose ball first and smashes it into the open net. OM 0-2 Rennes.
