Hopefully, Aberdeen won't be too mentally and physically drained from Thursday night.

I've got a feeling they may be. All the buzz and momentum is around Gerrard and Rangers these days. Reckon it ends a draw though.

Scored by Tavernier!

Still none the wiser what Morelos got sent off for and still none the wiser as to how Ball wasn't given a red card for the penalty incident.

Does it not come under the 'no double jeopardy' rule? Otherwise that's a stonewall red xD

nah cos there's no direct attempt to get the ball. If it was a slide tackle and he chopped the player down then fair enough. He's clearly just dragged him down cos he knows he's gonna smash it in if he doesn't xD

Only applies for efforts to win the ball. What Ball did is literally the textbook example of why the rule is written the way it is.

Very poor performance by Aberdeen. I don't think that the fatigue from midweek can even be blamed for the poor quality on show.

Missing Shay Logan meant the entire back four has central players with limited pace, which is fine when defending but against ten men you should expect to dominate possession. It actually was made worse for Aberdeen when Rangers went down to ten, as they were expected to be more expansive and Rangers caught them on the break.

Don't see any argument with the Morelos red card, if you kick at someone nowhere near the ball what should you expect? Aside from that, I thought Rangers were excellent today. They flooded the middle and forced Aberdeen to rely on their fullbacks, which was their glaring weak point today. Gleeson, Forrester and Shinnie all struggled to move the ball today and the loss of Kenny McLean was evident today.

Scraping a draw, but what a moment for young Bruce Anderson. Scottish football isn't declining because Adam Rooney went to a billionaire back club, it justs allows for young, talented players like him to gain opportunities.

I expected better from Aberdeen given you had the extra man. There wasn't much creativity in the side for most of the game. Mackay-Steven got the better of Tavernier a couple of times but that's about it. To only have 1 shot on target all game against a side that had 10 men for the best part of 80 minutes is a tad worrying.

Katic and Goldson for Rangers looks like a great partnership in the making. Thought they were solid and was perhaps part of the reason Aberdeen looked poor and couldn't get through.

It's hugely worrying, especially as for most of the season they'll come up against teams sitting back. The quality of the midfield is lacking. Maybe it justs takes time to gel, but currently, you have players that haven't played alongside each other much and it shows tremendously. Lewis Ferguson looks the best of them so far, but he's only played less than twenty games in his professional career. You can't expect him to maintain a level for the entire season.

I wouldn't even say that the central defence of Rangers was tested at all today, they couldn't even get past the midfield. McGinn and Mackay-Steven can cause problems for anyone but often left two on one as there was no support from the full backs.

McKenna going off with a hamstring is a huge concern as well. Reynolds is out until next year, Hoban is freshly injured and Logan still suspended. Looking at the available players, they will probably have to change to a back three (as they did for spells in the second half today) for the next few games.

Goldson, Katic and McGregor are going to gain us a lot of points this year that we would have thrown away in previous years.

It is going to be an interesting season.

Need someone to explain what Goldson was doing for Aberdeen's goal though.
