Smiley Culture Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 He wasn’t exactly setting the world alight at Crawley. Granted most people wouldn’t be at a club like Crawley but he won 18 out of 57 (31%) there so it was a bit of a shock he was even in contention for the Notts County job, so I wouldn’t say it’s a huge surprise that it’s not worked. Three managers before Christmas is mightily destabilising for any club so it really looks like Notts County are in trouble this year.
Lucas Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Cheerio Harry, you odious little cunt. Miles away from how close they were to getting promoted last season and in all honesty, the Conference is a legitimate threat to them if they don't buck their idea's up. They are conceding goals for fun. I think they should go for Paul Hurst now. He's performed well at Grimsby and Shrewsbury, the Ipswich move didn't work out which will taint his profile a little but he's available at a convenient time and you'd think he could do wonders at a club like Notts County. Definitely have the tools to build something there. Failing that, Ardley is an option as is Appleton. Either way, it's imperative they get this one right.
Dr. Gonzo Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Can't blame pulling his groin on getting sacked here.

He would have been given plenty of time to get it right. Really it was two good spells in the second half of last season that saved Crawley from flirting with relegation. He tried to run before he could crawl, showed a lack of loyalty, and now he will struggle to get another job.
Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted November 14, 2018 Subscriber Posted November 14, 2018 Surely in hindsight they must be thinking we should have stuck with Nolan? Seemed strange to get rid after how well he did last season.

Dave Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 It sounds like Neil Ardley is moving out of his London comfort zone and taking the job.
Dave Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 Neil Ardleys taken on the job. I hope he's not going to regret it. Seems like a good manager and a decent bloke.
Smiley Culture Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 Are they just appointing 90’s footballers? Who next? Stig Inge Bjornbye?
