You seriously don't think a team with such a small population getting to a tournament is an achievement? Quote

Nope, qualifying for a tournament isn't a achievement, it's only the necessary condition to achieve something. Edited July 17 by Rucksackfranzose Quote
Moderator Tommy Posted July 17 Moderator Posted July 17 That's a big blow ahead of the olympics. It looked bad yesterday, but I was still hoping for better news. Quote

Thats neurotic perfectionism and bad for your health. I little country like Iceland have every right to feel like they have achieved something by getting to a finals tournament. By that logic none of us achieve anything unless we are the best at it Quote

Agree to disagree. That's not actually what I said though was it. I agree we should agree to disagree. But bare in mind some people (especially men) are killing themselves over these expectations of what success is. I'm pretty certain you're a nice guy and wouldn't want that to happen to anyone. And your entitled to your opinion. But maybe go careful who you say it to Quote

But there were a lot of player changes and we missed a lot of players to begin with. But first half and the game against England looked very promising under the new coach. Goalkeeper situation is worrying though. Frohms retired from the national team, and both Berger and Johannes looked shaky these past two games. Quote

Yeah there was a distinct lack of flow or cohesion in that 2nd half. Even when chasing the equaliser it never actually looked likely. 1 Quote
