Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 27, 2019 Author Subscriber Share Posted January 27, 2019 Results - Gameweek Six Casualties (1) Just the one casualty this week, as @...Dan sees his pick Parma blown over at home by SPAL. A particularly gutting fate for our fourth place finisher here, as Inglese's brace to give the home side a two-goal cushion was undone with three goals in the last 20 minutes by their opponents. Bad luck, @...Dan, but you had a good run, and your reward is five points, with the potential still to score a bonus point if we end up with two of our remaining three contenders finishing joint 2nd. Keep an eye on your notifications for the start of the next round. Survivors (3) Saturday was a very straightforward affair this time around, Sassuolo kicking off the Serie A action with a comfortable 3-0 win over Cagliari and sending @Rucksackfranzose on into game week seven. Come evening, Quagliarella, now the top scorer in the Italian top flight, bagged a pair of penalties to help Sampdoria to a crushing 4-0 battering of Udinese at the age of nearly 36, to the delight of @Viva la FCB. With multiple correct picks this week, the tie breaker doesn't come into effect, and joining our two Bundesliga survivors in the seventh week is @Lucas, whose pick Fiorentina survived a crazy 4-3 win at Chievo, despite having a man sent off and conceding two penalties. This seven-goal thriller set the tone for a lively afternoon of Italian action thus far, but more importantly confirms the three man line up for the Last Man Standing league. Congratulations to all three of you, read on for next week's fixtures. Preview - Gameweek Seven On we go to Gameweek Seven. With three people left, the tie breaker will once again come into effect, so make sure you pick not only a match winner, but the player you think will be the first to score during this set of fixtures. Below is a reminder of your previous picks, along with the next set of fixtures, in order of kick off time, and with the odds on each team winning. Good luck! @Viva la FCB you cannot pick Sassuolo, Torino, Lazio, Milan, Atalanta or Sampdoria. @Rucksackfranzose you cannot pick Juventus, Lazio, Sampdoria, Napoli, Atalanta or Sassuolo. @Lucas you cannot pick Inter, Napoli, Sampdoria, Juventus, Atalanta or Fiorentina. Empoli (1.95) vs Chievo (4.00) Napoli (1.30) vs Sampdoria (10.00) Juventus (1.18) vs Parma (15.00) Spal (3.40) vs Torino (2.25) Genoa (2.25) vs Sassuolo (3.20) Udinese (3.25) vs Fiorentina (2.20) Inter Milan (1.22) vs Bologna (15.00) Roma (2.00) vs AC Milan (3.50) Frosinone (7.50) vs Lazio (1.40) Cagliari (4.50) vs Atalanta (1.75)

Glad it doesn't matter because I may have failed to make myself clear on this one. Muriel in the 4th minute on Sunday doesn't beat Quagliarella on Saturday! The first goalscorer tie breaker is the first player to score in real time, not based on the minute they scored, so the skill is to choose between the nailed on scorer on Sunday afternoon or the risky pick in the Saturday lunchtime game. Now it's come up though, doing it by minute scored in future rounds might be a better way of doing it, but not this time. Apologies if this was unclear. Ah ok, i thought it was by minute in the game so cheers for clarifying. Happy to go with whatever your rule is fella. It might be better to go with minute scored in the future incase we all kinda went for the same scorer from the same game as it was an early one, but only a thought. Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted February 3, 2019 Author Subscriber Share Posted February 3, 2019 This could be done tomorrow if Lazio don't deliver for @Lucas. If they do beat Frosinone though, you and @Viva la FCB can go ahead and pick your match winner and first scorer for the next gameweek. I'm away until Wednesday night so won't be able to do a proper update until at least Thursday so have a look at the fixtures yourselves. Commiserations @Rucksackfranzose. Edit: also note that the next gameweek starts on Thursday with Lazio v Empoli!

Lucas
Good luck @Viva la FCB, may the best man win. Not fancying anybody left to be brutally honest but feel I have to go with Udinese. Could easily pick Ronaldo for the tie breaker but it would be boring so to mix it up, I'll go Mandzukic

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted February 20, 2019 Author Subscriber Share Posted February 20, 2019 Time to make pick number 10 then lads . Match winner and first goalscorer please. Odds for the fixtures are below: @Viva la FCB you cannot use Sassuolo, Lazio, Torino, Milan, Atalanta, Sampdoria, Napoli, Juventus or Roma. @Lucas you cannot use Inter, Napoli, Sampdoria, Juventus, Atalanta, Fiorentina, Lazio, Roma or Udinese. Advantage Lucas this week who has a rather obvious choice if he wants it. Viva has used the bookies' favourite in 6 of those 9 matches already, and has no odds on option to choose from. Lucas
Well I think it's got to be Milan this week, no question. @Viva la FCB always gets his in first and the cheeky swine has picked my first scorer again. But we do need this to end so everyone else can play again so I'll go different again just for fun. Lucas Paqueta, incase it comes to it.

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted February 24, 2019 Author Subscriber Share Posted February 24, 2019 We... Have... A... WINNER! It's over, at long, long last. Following an epic battle spanning ten gameweeks and dating back to before Christmas, the latest round of the Last Man Standing League has reached its conclusion. Commiserations to @Viva la FCB, who really ran out of options this week and was forced to go with a risky pick of Genoa, who were unable to find a way into bottom club Chievo's goal this afternoon. Viva bows out of this round with a whopping 11 points to add to his total, having survived 9 weeks and claiming 2 bonus points with his silver medal. This leaves @Lucas as our champion, having expertly kept AC Milan in his back pocket until this weekend, where they kicked off this round of Serie A fixtures with a comfortable 3-0 win over Empoli on Friday. Lucas takes home a season-high points haul of 13 points to add to his season's tally, having made 10 consecutive correct picks, collecting the maximum 3 bonus points for being the champion of this round. Congratulations! The full league table will be updated this evening, with the fourth, and possibly final round, of the season to be launched too.
