Nah people are reacting because they've turned her heel.
  3. Allegedly if Harris and Blizter are chosen to be the preferred bidders then a deal to sell there stakes in Crystal Palace 'can be agreed in 30 seconds'. So I imagine that means John Textor would become 80% owner, which everybody at Crystal Palace seems to be in favour of.
  4. That was me emphasising a manager with Lampard's vision may just be a bad fit for the club at present, admittedly your point about comparing those guys to Rafa was a good one. It may just need a hard reset. I lived with a Wolves fan who wanted to drink himself in to oblivion when Wolves got relegated to League One but once the season started he recognised getting rid of all the players that were living on the past glory with Mick McCarthy was a blessing as there was a real culture problem at the club that couldn't be shifted unless you got rid of 13/14 players which relegation enabled them to do so.
  5. Well deserved all three of them. I thought Tyrick would have an outside chance if there was an injury crisis. Patrick Vieira's really helped progress him in to a complete full back whilst last season we only really saw his impeccable defensive game.
  6. Not going to speculate too much on the others but I'd be skeptical if Sir Martin Broughton's group were given preferential status. Based on how Harris & Blitzer have ran Crystal Palace you will be in safe hands, however they will not be willing to rack up anywhere near the sort of debt Roman Abramovich does on a yearly basis. They came to the UK, in their naivety they got absolutely burned in the first eighteen months (the stand that never was, spending over 100mil on players with little to no sell on value) and then spent the next couple of years recuperating that money. The priority for whoever takes over is going to be building a new stadium. I really like Stamford Bridge. My work office overseas it at the minute. It's a lovely area surrounded by nice people and has a unique feel to it despite only being developed in the late 90's. For a club with ambitions to be the best in the world though having the fourth biggest ground in London will eventually become a setback when you consider all the revenue streams available at multi purpose bigger sport stadiums. So whoever takes over is going to have to initially spend a big amount and wait a long time for a return on ROI. Harris & Blitzer will do that but I think they'll also do it under the acceptance they'll see a long period without silverware which will be an alien concept to Chelsea fans under 25.

Forgot to post at the time... I thought Marquez Pacquiao II was bad but this was another level. It really has killed any enthusiasm I have for watching anything other than the marquee fights.

My guess before the match was Britt would blade and no sell something stupid and to my shock horror I was right. That said it was the right outcome, its a shame they took a lot of steam out of Wardlow in the same show by having him lose to Scorpio Sky. The thing that's interesting me the most in AEW at the minute if Regal, Danielson and Moxley. The combination of 2.0 with Jericho should work well too.

100% . Had him, Henning or Piper been around ten years later they'd have had multiple reigns. He has a case for one of the most influential wrestlers ever. Had he not jumped when he did the nWo would not have started and wrestling may not have become mainstream.
  10. Gareth Southgate was at the Wolves game. The media speculated he was there watching Max Kilman but there was only one center back on the pitch that would have caught his eye. I said in one of the matchday threads I'd be surprised if he isn't in the World Cup squad. He's exactly the type of CB Gareth looks for, he's the Under 21 Captain and we're not exactly stacked in that position.

The Scott Hall tributes from the likes of Hogan and Nash really hit home.

From what people who know more about the technical side of wrestling have said it sounds like they both could have done things different to make it more safe.

Think Big E's career may be over. Ridge Holland is gonna get enough grief and I'm sure he feels awful about it. But he's not the guy who should be doing that kind of move to a guy of Big E's size on the outside. And Big E is the kind of guy at his size who shouldn't be taking that kind of move on the outside to begin with.

I'm all for a Hardy Boyz Farewell tour over the course of the next twelve months with Jeff Hardy taking a slight detour to face Darby Allin at All Out. Sounds like we're not going to get The Briscoes any time soon though.

Watched it. Thought it was a good show but the crowd were burnt out by the time the main event happened.

@Devil-Dick Willie great match between Jay White and Alex Shelley in Impact last weekend.
  18. @RondónEFC as somebody that has been directly affected by his sheer incompetence, what are your thoughts on Gavin Williamson receiving a knighthood?

Tony Khan has purchased Ring of Honor. That's good for his library but as for Ring of Honor and the industry in general I'm not really sure what to make of it.

Of all the people to suggest he's turned the corner and become a bad ass I don't think Evil Uno is it

Tony Khan chucking that Buddy Matthews toy back in the toy box in record time. For AEW Cesaro makes sense. He'll look like a giant over there, he has name value and a connection due to his time on the indies. He'll be a great teacher to some of the other very green people they have on TV too. That said I don't think he will be anything more than somebody who elevates people to the main event scene. I liked The Bar and his James Bond stuff but he's not very relatable as a talent. Out of all the guys Vince doesn't see it with Robert Roode would be a better grab in that regard. As a viewer I'd rather see Cesaro in NJPW. He'd have some killer matches over there with the Strong Style and they can play on him being an international athlete as opposed to the generic little American.

I find it pretty surreal her last moment in AEW was Dan Lambert telling her how nobody wants her around in a ring.
