  1. Prince Charles has it. I called it, Boris is fucked when/if the queen gets it.
  2. Well you do, and I'm not gonna answer cos I've answered it one time too many.
  3. Has your mother ever told you that you ask too many questions?
  4. I am only saying that Trump is more accepting to his own errors than the likes of Bolsonaro. Doesn't mean I think he's doing good.
  5. Figure of speech. I'm not sure he actually said it, but you can tell by the decisions he's taking that he's trying to correct his mistakes. I'm still not saying he's doing a good job though, but compared to Bolsonaro and Trudeau I much prefer Trump to be honest.
  6. So I'm looking at a dog instead. I want a puppy though as I always liked seeing how family and family friends' dogs grew up. I'm mostly interested in those Arctic dogs (Husky-like) that work. That's the type for me. I'll see if I can go for one after everything opens again.
  7. This is the sort of reason I respect Trump for admitting he fucked up. It's entirely Trump's fault that the coronavirus is exploding in cases in the USA, but at least he's trying to correct it. Bolsonaro on the other hand would rather die than admit he is wrong.
  8. My dad needs to be closer to work and I need to have enough medication to stay healthy (withdrawal symptoms and whatnot)
  9. I got another email today from the Canadian rescue mission in Peru. Basically said "yesterday was a Lima only flight, now we are looking to get out the rest" which means the people in Cusco, where most Canadians probably are. I get that I'm a dual national and they probably aren't prioritizing as much but what pisses me off is that they fucking lie to us. Telling us that people with mental conditions will be prioritized and then not doing what they promised. My dad is at risk at losing his job now. I might be lucky enough with my medications but it's still a risk I'm not entirely prepared to take.
  10. I am also not sure if China is reporting the correct numbers given everything. I do believe the death count ratio though because they have good health care (for the most part) and manage their economy well.
  11. It’s shocking but Nudge was saying that the patterns are looking promising for things to get better from here. Fingers crossed they do. I really hope Italy recover properly from this whole thing.
  12. SARS in 2003 was due to a wet market as well apparently.
  13. Not too sure on how the whole terminology works to be honest, I suppose there is enough research on fish and the likes for it to be safe for consumption. I'm sure someone can correct me. We have a lot of wet markets in Peru but we only sell things like fish, pork, meat, and other seafood options like crab or lobster. Nothing like the dangerous wet markets in China which are very vulnerable to outbreaks. Eating horse is illegal in Peru for example.
  14. The wet markets over there offer much more animals. Shit like camels, bats, armadillos. Things you'd never expect to eat that without washing them well could have new viruses like this one.
  15. Looks like they finally sorted it. Going home before the weekend as it stands.
  16. That said, Canada is not very densely populated. Outside of Toronto, there's no city in the country that really has tons of people walking around like New York (even that isn't comparable). Montreal I'm not too sure on, and Vancouver gave me Auckland vibes for the few hours I was there. There are a few other cities here and there but there's no major hubs except for southern Ontario really. I can kind of see why they would try to save some money. It's not as big a risk as somewhere like Europe or the USA. That doesn't make anything I said in my last post any less true though.
  17. Trudeau is Trump's whipping boy. He's just doing whatever Trump does. It's embarrassing to see.
  18. If the panic buying and virus wasn't enough to prove the world is coming to an end, maybe this will
  19. Embarrassing. The Canadian embassy here said to us "anyone with mental conditions will be first priority" The first plane is leaving tomorrow and we're not on it. I'm autistic. But ya know "first priority" and shit.
  20. Sent out a tweet. This whole thing has been horribly unclear.
  21. So an update. I missed my flight, it was booked immediately and there was nothing we could do. Unless more show up it looks like I'm gonna be stuck here. The border will close permanently on Sunday. My worry is that I'm on medication. Luckily I have enough for this current quarantine session. If we're stuck til August though, then I may be in trouble.
  22. Same with new cases. Promising signs, let's hope it keeps falling from here.
  23. Yeah I realized that the second I posted it
  24. Well yes, I'm not doubting that but my point is that the virus spreads easily from human to human and it can take a huge rise in cases if not isolated well. Even if there were no such thing as air traffic in this world, the virus can still spread within the country. That's my point. If the correct measures aren't taken in time, the country can see a huge rise in cases. Countries with lots of air traffic are more at risk because more people potentially carrying the virus will arrive. There's no doubt about that. However, it started somewhere and it spread locally first before making it's way to other countries. If the right measures aren't taken it could become just as bad as the hotspot which could be in Wuhan or in Lombardy.
