The decision is being criticised by some reactionary people imo, the kneel was a way for sports players and fans to come together and create discussion, but at this point now, what is it actually contributing to now? I think it’s run it’s course. Interested to see what the club have planned in place of it

Ole has had 4 transfer windows now, how you rating them? Good: Fernandes Cavani Bad/average: Maguire James Wan-Bissaka (up and down I’d say) van de Beek Alex Telles (someone else confirm this one?)

And welcome to A. S. M. R. with Bataaaaard -
Understood neither of the lads have ever seen floodlights so big before

Yeah the good thing about the league is that it's got a really good set up, good stadiums even if they're not purpose built (read that Western United are getting a purpose built one) but the NRL stadiums are going through a phase of stadium expansion to catch up with the AFL so the A-League are benefitting from that. The PR is good, the advertising, logo's, general imagery is great and makes for a good product. The kits are nice as well, I like that Macarthur home kit. So you watch all of this slick, well planned product and then see the players and sometimes you're like....what is happening. I just watched Brisbane Roar and saw a passage of play that had about 7 passes and every pass was ever under hit or over hit lol, but you do see some good talent come through and see some older decent players come in as well, I remember watching this giant Dutch defensive mid and he was spraying passes for fun.

I took the piss out of the quality of the A-League, but have a look at Western Sydney's second goal. Class,a lso the goalline scramble beforehand too. I like the MacArthur expansion though, a proper one based on a proper area, unli8ke Western United which is somehow western suburbs of Melbourne and the entirety of the west of Victoria

I forgot how painful it is to watch the A-League...didn't know they'd expanded with two extra teams either

Who'd you think you'll get shot of in the Summer? Luiz contract expires; Lacazatte, Elneny, Chambers, Nketiah, Guendozi, Mavropanos, Torreira, Saliba (defo going now), Maitland-Nile, Willock all have 1 year; Willian, Auba, Leno, Xhaka, Bellerin, Nelson, Smith-Rowe all have 2 years. Assuming you'lld hand extensions to Leno, Smith-Rowe, Xhaka, Nketiah and Bellerin? Handbrake Off podcast reckon you'll be looking to get shot of 15 or so players?

William. Saliba.

When I worked on a farm part of our "health and safety" was to carry a big stick across a certain dirt path as it was where Magpies nested....I also got chased by about 6 of them

The thing is I don’t think there’s “more” racism occurring I just think players feel empowered to report it now, and clubs are probably doing the same thing too. Social media sites do very little to prevent it and so essentially encourage it as there is a very easy way to deal with this.

What makes this run really special is that hands down Christian Norgaard is our best midfielder, he is our Kalvin Phillips and more. He is so assured, so composed, reads the game so well, expects the very best and puts that out on the pitch. He has been injured pretty much all season. Vitally Janelt who has filled in his position, who is not necessarily a better player than Norgaard, has done so well this season that it’s very difficult to drop him. Mads Bech Sorensen has stepped up to the plate massively and apart from the organisational and leadership skills that Pontus possesses, has pretty much put in close to very similar levels of performances Pontus would. And his passing has got better and better. Two of our best defensive players are out injured and we’re still fucking smashing it. It just takes me back to calls last season that we bottled the end, a team that bottles that could never come back and perform again this season and put in the consistency of these performances. Absolute battlers and ballers on the pitch -

Ironically our owners and Brighton's owner have a bit of a rivalry going in the sports gambling/data analysis world -

@Lucas since xG was first measured, there have only been two teams in the Championship that haven’t gone even though they’ve had the best xG for and against in the league and that was Leeds and Brentford. -
I've made a transition from Jose to Pep in my playing style mate

Might have been Villa with Young and Gabby

That was a specific FIFA though, I remembe it well because I used to get battered by my cousin who would play as Aston Villa back when they had Carew, Young and Agbonlahor. I’d normally play as Everton and secure wins with defensive football and I think Yakubu up top In the later editions of FIFA I drifted more to teams like Dortmund and Napoli and played expansive, quick one touch stuff instead. Do have the odd formation in my head every now and then for a park the bus masterclass

Please excuse me whilst I go and bathe in your tears

I’ve never been bad at defending, not great but decent. They’ve taken the ability for the computer to do some of the defending which for me is silly as you can’t control 3-4-5 players at a time so it helps that you can defend using AI. Without it it’s just been shit imo, I might try it again but I was pretty disappointed in FIFA 21, first time I’ve stopped playing a FIFA game because of the gameplay
-
It’s essentially just a kit update of the previous season, they’re setting up a new game engine for next season. The defending is terrible, one of the worst FIFA games I’ve played in years. Going back to FIFA 20 that still has its problems in terms of passes being made that you definitely didn’t make, or poor player switching when defending, but FIFA 21 just upped the bad defending by a country mile.

clearly Hazard doesn't then

Because he plays for Real Madrid, you go to Real Madrid to be known as one of their best players, to play your best. You get injured and paid more than ever after that, i.e. Bale lol

That you are a smaller club compared to Real Madrid? Or that you've not consistently had the best players in the world playing for you?

You'd fit in well amongst the Soviet's with this level of propaganda Stanley, but you'll still never be one of the greatest Premier League side EVER (yes I know you edited out the capitalised EVER from the title)
