Took the missus out to the cinema to watch the 'Meg' And before anyone starts criticizing my choice of film let me tell you... 1. It was very short notice, and 2. I had to get the missus out of the house before there was a complete emotional meltdown between her, my eldest daughter and her idiot boyfriend... It was all starting to kick off and I thought fuck this we are going out... I didn't even know what was showing until we got there and she likes Jason Statham so that was that... We got there and we were the only 2 in the place... had the whole cinema to ourselves.. Anyway the film, pretty much as expected, a ramped up version of jaws, acting was average and everything was in place for a quick shunt over to DVD... Would normally give it a 4.5/5 score but because tempers had cooled during what the cinema might call the intermission I will give it a 6.5-7

Good... deserved for that behavior... Fenati was banned for two races by MotoGP and has now had his contract with the Marinelli Snipers Team terminated. In a statement, the team said Fenati’s ‘irresponsible act endangered the life of another rider’. ‘The Marinelli Snipers Team shall terminate the contract with the rider Romano Fenati, from now on, for his unsporting, dangerous and damaging conduct for the image of all,’ the statement read. ‘With extreme regret, we have to note that his irresponsible act endangered the life of another rider and can’t be apologised for in any way. ‘The rider, from this moment, will not participate in any more races with the Marinelli Snipers team. ‘The team, Marinelli Cucine, Rivacold and all the other sponsors and the people that always supported him, apologised to all the World Championship fans.’ Good riddance...

Given your history with emotions and such I find it hard to believe that could impartially compile such a list.. I am beginning to think you are a very discerning and sophisticated automaton of some description... I was of course joking about it being the greatest love story ever... I am however building a movie night dos and don'ts list just in case, you never know... So No Horror Sci-Fi and absolutely no Tom Cruise... There will always be tv series night, we seem to share some common ground there at least..

What!!! the greatest love story ever told.... Honestly, that does nothing for you?

What about Jerry Maguire??

Think how much crap we had when we moved with the kids stuff and everything... There was so much to move I said to the missus it would be cheaper to leave everything and start over again.. Sorry to hear about that Spike... Got a decent record collection myself so know how that must feel...

Agreed.. Let's not forget that our start has been a fairly easy one and apart from meeting Arsenal who were not exactly firing on all cylinders we have not had a serious title rival to worry about just yet. Still, these are games we have got the points from and that's the main thing, City and Spurs have had a hiccup already and we are bound to do the same at some point or other... Sarri football seems to be all quick pass and attack which in honesty we have been gagging to see but still struggling a bit to unlock those stubborn defences at times despite all the possession. We are witnessing the New Manager effect right now where all the players are up for it and putting in all the right effort that clearly was not there a lot of times last season.. Sarri has dispensed with some of Contes old rules and restrictions and that has of course got the buy in from the players and they seem to be enjoying their football.. Still a lot for the team to be doing as a defensive unit and just feel that the main focus seems to be on attacking as the priority and defensive duties as a secondary consideration... He said give it 2 to 3 months so let's see how the team have improved by then..

Watched 'Upgrade' Seeing the trailer gave me the impression that it might be one of those that was never going to be too serious and maybe even in places a bit silly but I thought I would give it a watch anyway and as it was moving along it starts to twist and turn and ends in a way I was not expecting... It's not a CGI spectacular or anything like that in fact it probably managed everything on a really small budget as they don't really use much if any at all which was good really... Basically a bloke gets involved in an accident and allows himself to get fitted with some secretive experimental technology to help aid his recovery.. Interesting the path it takes and how it all ends.. 6.5-7.5 Not a blockbuster by any stretch but didn't need to be...

How can you not love this....

Talking of fish... I was reading this morning that Police shut down a Kuwaiti store because staff stuck googly eyes on the fish to make them look fresh.. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce closed the fish shop after it put 'fake lenses' on fish to make them look fresher, the newspaper in Kuwait added. Social media users quickly mocked the shop owner's cheeky bid to get away with selling old fish with a series of hilarious memes that went viral. To get in on the joke, a fish company in Kuwait announced it was selling 'fish without cosmetics', alongside a picture of a fish and a selection of different coloured contact lenses. Matthew Dalby said on Twitter: 'Never judge the freshness of fish by the googliness of their eyes.' LMAO... Let's be honest, some things are just so bizarre that they do crack you up..

Nothing beats knocking together your own concoction over a camp fire or stove... bread on the end of a stick for toast etc... All kinds in one pot, bits of bacon, peas, beans etc.. stir till hot then eat...

When I was younger I never got the attraction of fishing.. sounded very boring but now I am older and wiser I greatly see the merits and attraction of getting the hell out for some time by yourself or with a mate outside camping for a few nights and a few beers and all that heavenly peace and quiet.. We have a bloke working in one of our departments next to us and he loves it, always showing me photos of what he has caught and always rubbing his hands together with anticipation at the end of our shift because he is off somewhere for a few days..

It's all that juicy Northern meat we feed them mate....

It was just called the 65 back then when I used to catch it... Just outside the old White Hart pub in Chessy, the missus used to live in the road opposite and I lived in Surbiton at the time.. you had both the 65 and 71 and the 65 used to go from the zoo all the way through to Richmond.. back then though I think the last bus back used to be about 12:10 and if you missed it then tough luck you would be walking home... I used to see my missus about 4 times a week back then and if I missed the bus I might get back about 1:15am and had to be up each day at 4:30am.. I used to be cream crackered come the weekend.. Love is a test and no mistake..

That reminds me of when I used to bring the other half home and had to bus back each night, You would stand waiting and waiting and thinking " If I had started walking I could of been home in the time it's taken the bus to get here" and on the night you decide to do that the bloody bus comes along when you are halfway between stops...
