  1. Being reported that Real Madrid are possibly putting together a joint 100M offer package for both Courtois and Willian...
  2. Really enjoyed Vikings mate... I would recommend it.. It's worth watching just for Katheryn Winnick... Starts of a bit slow in the beginning but builds and builds as each season goes by... Such a great watch
  3. Watched 'Extinction' last night.. Can't really say too much about it without giving most of it away.... Basically a bloke starts having nightmares about the planet being attacked and everyone getting killed... have to watch it yourself to see where it all goes.. Not a bad watch for an hour and a half... 7.5
  4. Latest news knocking about... Gonzalo Higuain is ready to reject AC Milan as he prefers a move to Chelsea, according to reports. The Juventus striker is on Chelsea’s summer shortlist and the two clubs have held talks about a possible transfer before the transfer window closes. Earlier this week, reports in Italy claimed that the Serie A champions would be willing to let Higuain join AC Milan on loan for the upcoming season. But La Stampa report that the 30-year-old is ‘not convinced’ by Milan’s proposal and would prefer to join Chelsea instead as he would like the challenge of playing in the Premier League. The report also claims that the Argentina international is demanding a salary package worth £135,000 a week. Should Higuain end up making the move to Chelsea, he would be reunited with Maurizio Sarri – the manager he thrived under at Napoli. Under Sarri’s guidance at Napoli, Higuain broke Serie A’s scoring record in a single campaign with 36 goals in the 2015-16 season. When asked about a potential move for Higuain on Saturday, Sarri replied: ‘I’m still waiting for the best Morata. Chelsea will have to cough up £45million for Juventus star Daniele Rugani after holding talks with the Serie A giants in Italy. Maurizio Sarri has identified the 23-year-old as his primary defensive target after voicing concerns about the strength of Chelsea’s central defence. Sarri’s late appointment means Chelsea have had to accelerate their transfer business and Blues director Marina Granovskaia was in Italy on Thursday to speak to Juventus. The meeting was primarily to discuss Rugani, as Chelsea believe the Old Lady are more than willing to sell Gonzalo Higuain for the right price.
  5. Now being reported that Golovin could join Monaco after all... They are saying he will be having a medical there on Thursday...
  6. Don't forget to update this with the final score....
  7. I know... I am such an unrealistic dreamer.... but to be fair I have known it happen.. honest!
  8. I don't think anyones getting carried away after just one friendly game, His tests will be a lot tougher as the season goes on and he may need a little time to adapt but it's not as if he is a raw recruit is he.. He has a decent amount of experience behind him which I am fairly sure will be put to good use.. You forgot City... Won the title while playing some of the most attractive football in the league, We won the league and cup with Ancelotti playing attractive attacking football, It's not like it can't be done...
  9. Surprised we got him to be honest but glad we are showing a bit of intent this season.. Sarri claims he does not get involved in the transfer side of things but he must be giving them a guide to the types of player he needs which is where to be fair to Conte never got... Our last transfer window was a disaster really and then it was bolstered by short term fixes in my opinion.. just filling in the cracks Was reading this about Golovin the other day.. Aleksandr Golovin’s move to Chelsea is reportedly set to be wrapped up in the coming days after the CSKA midfielder dropped a hint/clanger on social media. The Blues have been heavily linked with the Russia World Cup midfielder. Sky Italy claim a deal is close between Chelsea and the Russian outfit. The Sun claim Chelsea have agreed a fee with CSKA for Golovin, believed to be around €30m, with the midfielder rejecting an offer from Monaco to head to Stamford Bridge. And now Golovin’s CSKA Moscow team-mate Sergey Chepchugov has dropped the biggest hint yet that the midfielder is moving to the Blues after a post on his Instagram account. Chepchugov’s post congratulated the midfielder on sealing a move to a “big club” and wished him well at Chelsea. Golovin’s official Instagram account @alex_golovin17 liked the post.
  10. What I enjoyed about his play yesterday was that he kept things simple and effective.. has a good eye for a pass and moves the ball around quickly, does not dwell on it too much reducing the chances of being crowded out or being caught in possession.. Looking at the way we went about the game yesterday the passing was geared up to one or two touches and quick passing movements.. It would be nice to be fighting for the Title and all that but I would put good attractive attacking football above silverware in Sarri's first season.. It would make a nice change if the team had some attacking intent going into matches rather than being defensively minded as we have done in the past... Defending when needed is part of the game but shouldn't be a fucking 90 minute mission...
  11. That's all they should be.. All these pre season club competitions they have are meaningless... just a chance to parade the badge and merchandise, they should be about match fitness and trying out systems/tactics etc.. seeing who fits best and where, giving the fringe players a chance to show they might be worth a punt.. not that it matters how well they seem to do in pre season as they only get lumped out on loan anyway, well they do at our club anyway..
  12. That's our problem.. even when we are creative we are not clinical enough.. could have had 4 or 5 but left with just the one... very positive overall play considering a number of our key players are still missing... going to take him a while to get the players to adjust to his style...
  13. Yea.. never seems ready when chances come, great one or two touch passing and should have had probably another 2
  14. Odoi has some great pace, keeping Perth on the back foot all the time...
  15. 1-0 up at Perth after 5 minutes... worked well down the left from Odoi who crossed in for Pedro to guide in..

I think there may have been a large amount of people that just took it for granted that we would remain so didn't feel the need to put themselves out..
  17. Yea I can imagine... Not nice to have it at any age but worse when you think you would be young and fighting fit... Got to take it easy and try and work back to normal, Frustrated the hell out of me when I had it.. moving around so slowly, scared to twist or bend in case it went again.. even sitting down was a 5 minute job and then it was monumental effort to get back up again.. if I dropped something on the floor that's where it stayed... I remember the first time I did it and I needed help with getting my jeans and socks on and all that and you feel like a useless idiot.. I got my self settled in bed on the first night and something woke me in the early hours and I wanted a piss.. I shit you not it took me about 15 minutes to inch my way up into a sitting position and by the time I had done that I was so worried it would go again while trying to get up I just gave up and inched my way back down into the laying position.. I thought fuck it, if I piss the bed I piss the bed it was that bad.. lucky for me I managed to nod back off and all was well...
  18. You have my sympathies... Had a couple of back issues a while back that were painful/ambulance related but not anything that involved surgery fortunately and until you have a serious back issue no-one can tell you just how much pain that is to go through.. How old are you Rick if you don't mind me asking??
  19. This is getting really interesting... I am loving Kelly Reilly's character Beth... The Female of the Species is more deadly than the Male seems to apply here by the bucket load...
  20. I believe that a country's people have a right to have a say in all things that will affect them, I also believe that the general public are not all fully equipped to make sound decisions when they have no real knowledge of the potential impact that such decisions bring to the table.. but that's what politicians are there for in the first place, to do their best to carry out the wishes of the people but we all know it doesn't work like that. This Leave/Remain debate became such a hot potato that as has already been mentioned earlier in the thread that they took the Fat Sam approach to it... Let the public decide then they were effectively absolved of the real responsibility for what happens next, Given that it has taken so long even to get to this point and the fallout that is still continuing over it I have to wonder if even the best ones out there with all the knowledge and know how are capable of negotiating something that is workable..
  21. That's not uncommon though is it... You have to look past all the silly scaremongering and try and pick your way through what really matters most but a very large percentage of the public are driven by what they read and what they see on a daily basis.. Sadly our education system does not allow for a broader understanding of such matters... spoon feed the masses enough rubbish on regular basis and they will pretty much swallow anything.. The truth is they are appealing to their emotions because trying to explain the pros and cons so that the majority of the public have a full and better understanding of whats involved would take far to long if such a thing was even possible...The Witch Hunt rules are applied... Don't really need to go into detail if you can just start shouting Witch! Witch! in a loud enough voice enough times before the angry mob is following behind pitchforks and burning torches in hand.. Prior to joining we were being informed that failure to get on board would effectively leave us just a barren wasteland with no hope for the future... The Daily Mirror even went as far as to say 'we would become mere lookers-on from an offshore island of dwindling insignificance' if we failed to join so even then the same manipulations were taking place... Scare enough people into thinking we will be nothing if we were not part of it then of course people are going to clambering to get on board... The reverse has now been applied to get just enough people to vote leave.

I once did a gym/swim combo which I thought would be good and spent about an hour and a bit in the gym putting in a lot of effort and then trotted off for my nice cool relaxing swim... About 20 minutes in my body just gave up as I was reaching the deep end and ended up just making it to the edge.. I was hanging on like someone had just been turfed overboard and found a bit of driftwood to hold onto.. Fuck that, shocked me how quickly my body just caved.. Never again, I completely underestimated how much physical effort goes into swimming... The two don't make a for a good combination..
