  1. Never seen a Magpie do that before.... Our cat loves to sit on the shed roof at the bottom of our garden hoping to catch out the birds nesting up in the trees down there but she had a run in with a feisty Magpie the other week according to my missus and didn't know what to make of it by the sounds of it and did a runner by all accounts...
  2. Spotted along the coast of Cornwall on Saturday... He is going to need a bigger Kayak!!
  3. That bit caught me right out when I saw it... was not expecting that at all..
  4. She is a far more sinister character compared to the original who was more of a frightened bumbler who put people in danger due to a complete lack of common sense.. This Smith is devious, manipulative and downright dangerous for all concerned.. The only thing the old and the new have in common is bloody self preservation.. You are right about her acting though.. You just want something really nasty to happen to her or get her alone in the cargo bay and smack her up a bit or send her on that weather balloon trip and accidentally forget to anchor it down properly so full credit there she is totally owning that... The other thing is the vast difference between the Robots old and new... The old Robot was part of the crew but this one has other origins.. Very menacing and with zero personality compared to the old and certainly not to be messed with but liking it all the same.. I want one!!! The other family members are interesting.. Not much difference for me between Penny & Judy, They seem to be almost the same personalities as the old so the fit is good, The parents are interesting with the mini power struggle going on between them and I think Don is an improvement over the old one as he has more of a maverick role as opposed to the more serious role of the original who hardly ever seemed to smile much or have anything remotely funny to say... Will seems a tad younger than the original but both seem to share the same type of loner in the group type character I would love to tell you more about the Robot, If there was even anything to tell but I wouldn't want to lumber you with any spoilers , If there were indeed any to be had.... Enjoy!!! We can catch up again once you have seen the last 4..
  5. Does look nice I have to say... I might have to indulge myself if I can find out where I can get some...
  6. Samosas are fine, like them myself.. There is an Indian family a couple of doors down from us and when they are cooking the aroma comes floating over the gardens.. It does smell nice and they gave us some samosas once, Rogan Josh is probably the other dish I like and I wouldn't mind trying the Butter Chicken at some point...
  7. It's 10am in the morning here so too early for me to be thinking about curry's and such like... Just polishing off a bacon sarnie.. Tried Indian food once when a friend invited us all out for the evening.. wouldn't be my go to first choice of foods but it was ok..
  8. Indeed... Not having done much travelling in my life I do have this desire to explore something new which I suppose comes from being settled and in the same routine.. Don't get me wrong, It's never boring but I do like to see new places and surroundings.. and like you say if you are on the move a reasonable amount every now and then you just think maybe it's time to settle... I suppose if I do get away to places even for short periods I have that comfort of knowing I do have somewhere settled to return to where the family is..
  9. Nice... You sound like you have a lot on in the next few months, I envy that in some respects and not in others.. The travelling aspect must be great, somewhere new to explore must be exciting but the moving part would be a royal pain in the arse... The most excitement I will be getting over the next few months is when to get the skip to tear down the old play hut and then putting up a new play hut for Leelah... Going to returf the grass AGAIN!!! going to put that astro turf down this time because I am fed up of trying to get a decent bit of lawn up the back for the kids... So for me going from the house to the back of the garden about 50 times will be the only travelling I will be getting this summer, There will be some paperwork involved obviously when I sign off on the skip but at least they will come to me with that rather than me having to chase them up.. Leelah will no doubt want to help out which will speed the whole process up no end and I expect to endure my daughters expertise on putting up sheds as she tells me how best to do it even though that was my job for 2 years at one point.. Thinking about it can I come with you please...
  10. Bit of a pain.. hate spoilers.. Well when you get the time.. I crammed mine because of Westworld, normally if I am watching 2 or 3 series on the go one of them suffers at some point.. Like you when I am busy or back at work my time and eyes willingness to keep focused is at a low priority level.. I try to do most of my cramming during my 4 days off late at night when all others are asleep... peace!
  11. Right.. All done! Really enjoyed it actually... It will be interesting to compare as you go on with it..
  12. Superb!! That is exactly how I feel... Just watching the last 25 minutes of the last one and I will be done.. then we can have a catch up and thoughts..
  13. It's Friday!!! Where are you with your project?? I will be watching the last episode tonight..

Nice... I lived in that area growing up and worked around there for a good number of years on the Estate at various different places.. Know at least 3 or 4 people that live down Moor Lane and a fair few in and around the area... Have been known to frequent the North Star on occasion but it's getting to the point now where decent pubs are getting harder and harder to come by... Used to get in the Southborough Arms before it got turned into the Cap in Hand up at Hook and the Port of call before it got turned into the Maverick and the travellers and drugs took over and they closed it down... It's a One Stop now.. The old White Hart ( Old peoples home now ) and the Lucky Rover ( still there ) was where my young drinking days began... My old man used to take me because I looked a lot older than I was and it used to be heaving in there as it's only a small place.. Used to be as rough as fuck for a naive youngster trying to follow in his dads footsteps.. Great times!! Whenever I told people I used to live in Chessington they always without fail used to make some comment about coming from the zoo... that never grew tiring.. not even one little bit....

God I must be getting old... I did my usual garden slab cleaning yesterday in prep for the summer and as I have taken an extra day off this week to accommodate the planned fine weather ( and fine it is I might add ) I thought I would crack on nice and early... Well the power washer was not working so had to scrub the bloody things by hand and this morning it feels like I have just undergone the iron man challenge.. My thighs are bloody killing me.. I should have seen the signs coming, when I took the rubbish sacks out for the binmen the other morning I found myself making that silly grunting noise you make when having to put some effort into something as I was lifting them up to put them in... The bags weighed a ton, no wonder they leave them for me to do...

Lucky for me then that Dark chocolate is my preferred choice.. especially them Dark chocolate digestives.. They became my biscuit of choice after finding out that no one else in the house likes them that much so they get left untouched if I have not finished them off.... sometimes I have to employ a few advanced tactics around the house to get round uncontrolled theft of my snacks... The post I made actually came from a conversation with my daughter this morning that someone else had put on one of her facebook pages... I just started laughing when she asked me the question... anyone that thinks the mass consumption of any kind of chocolate is a healthy eating option is beyond me. That individual was probably one of those people that thought the planet was only 2018 years old... Still, I have duly noted your expert opinion on chocolate consumption for a later date...

All these health experts are getting on my tits... Don't eat this, don't eat that... This is good for you but has X side effects, This is bad for you but has other health benefits etc... I am getting on a bit now and have to start looking after myself better so stop your gas bagging and just tell me which Chocolate is better for me, milk or fucking dark chocolate!!!
  21. I have just found it interesting how they have gone about certain things in comparison to the original series... not that I would expect anyone of your youthful age to have seen it first time around... Joking aside I am sure you have seen the re-runs...
