    Congratulations @Stan
  4. The company have just released a statement claiming they have all been lost and are now dead.. All crew and passengers on missing Titan sub believed to be dead (msn.com)
  5. Me and my mate were discussing that very thing today funny enough... Also considering that's it's £250K a pop to go down you might have thought a wise investment would be to have something that was fit for purpose.. I hope it was quick death for them, anything else like sitting somewhere on the bottom of the sea while the oxygen ran out would have been an awful slow death..
  6. So many safety concerns being raised over this whole thing..
  7. Hardly a massive secret and now it's official... Christopher Nkunku reacts as Chelsea finally complete £63m transfer from RB Leipzig (football365.com) He has some skills...
  8. Congratulations @nudge.. Cheers for running this @RandoEFC.... much appreciated!
  9. Pleased for @Happy Blue Great achievement really... I know people bang on about the money and yes it could get a bit boring if they keep it up over the next 5 years but you need a lot of things to go right for you to have a season like they have had and it's not just about the money, it helps sure but money alone is not enough.. You need the right Manager, the right players and a slice of good fortune to go with it.. Leicester were a great example of how you could win against the odds without millions being spent... Chelsea this season are a great example of how you can spend millions and still finish 12th...
  10. I hate it, been working in my loft and might as well be working on the surface of the sun... sweating like fuck!!
  11. Some pretty serious allegations here... Police investigate deaths of 40 people at Brighton hospital as two surgeons blow whistle (msn.com) So much for protecting the rights of Whistleblowers then if they ended up getting sacked for bringing it to light..
  12. A nasty rumour has emerged that we have opened talks for Neymar... I really do hope it's a load of horseshit... Chelsea open talks for Neymar in transfer blow to Man Utd, Arsenal and Newcastle (msn.com)
  13. Apparently John Carpenter has suggested that there might be a 'Thing 2' on the drawing board... He spoke about the possibility at the Texas Frightmare weekend but has been sworn to secrecy about the details.. Would be awesome..
  14. Interested to hear what @Storts thinks about this appointment?? He was quite popular with Spurs fans I believe but at the time of his departure didn't you say the time was right for him to move on as you felt he had taken the club as far as he could???
  15. Is anyone else following this Philip Schofield drama??? Now it's being claimed that he lied to ITV when questioned about and affair with a younger employee and it turned out to be true... What's interesting about it for me is that a long while back I was over the cafe having breakfast with my mate and he told me that his missus does nails professionally and one of her clients was Philip Schofields assistant and they had a bit of a gossip and she mentioned about his affair with this younger lad and a few months later he came out as being gay because this lad was going to go public with it and they had to try and hush it all up... Anyway, nothing else happened until now where it turns out to be completely true.. They are saying he met him when the lad was 15 and he got him a job at ITV.. sounds like grooming to me What a fall from grace he has had....
  16. Chelsea Ladies have won their 4th consecutive league title... They beat Reading 3-0 to secure it ahead of Man United.. Congratulations ladies.. Maybe we should do a swap with the mens team for next season...
  17. In its written reasons explaining its sanction, published on Friday, the commission said Toney had admitted repeatedly lying during his initial interviews with the FA. The FA initially wanted to impose a 15-month ban on Toney because he attempted to conceal his betting, knowing it was against FA rules. This included betting through third parties and deleting relevant messages from his mobile phone, it said, then knowingly giving "clearly false answers" during his interviews with the FA.
  18. I don't think it's that harsh, just my opinion on the matter, He had been betting for about 5 years and when he got caught it's better not to underestimate the options/advice he would have had before him when facing some real serious trouble and a lengthy ban, It's no stretch to suggest that the gambling addiction was put forward as a way of getting a more sympathetic hearing and a lesser punishment.. It probably didn't help his case that he was prepared to lie repeatedly in the initial stages rather than just coming clean and saying he had a problem, only once all the evidence was overwhelmingly against him did he come clean..
  19. Where did you read that??? If he has admitted to having an addiction they are duty bound to offer as much help as possible as is the club.. Clearly the addiction angle was to try and reduce his penalty and maybe garner some sympathy but a good point was made about it and that is a gambling addict would be betting on all kinds of things but Toney was very specifically betting on his and his teams performances and very little else which might throw some doubt on the veracity of his claims of addiction.. either way, once he has admitted to that they should be helping him..
  20. I think he is very lucky to have what he got.. He could have had 15 months but it was reduced due to his gambling addiction diagnosis and has openly admitted to repeatedly lying to the FA in the early stages of the investigation which probably didn't go down to well.. He can also start training with Brentford 4 months before his ban comes to an end and in the meantime although I agree that banning him from training serves no useful purpose in the grand scheme of things it's part of the punishment to stay away from anything football related.. I am pretty sure that he will find other ways to keep himself fit in the meantime..
