  1. Yep.... Mauricio Pochettino: Chelsea agree deal to appoint ex-Tottenham boss as new manager - BBC Sport
  2. This could be interesting... VAR and referee discussions to be aired for first time on Monday Night Football (msn.com)
  3. Sorry to hear about your missus @Stan bet that was scary... my missus had something similar happen to her about 10 years ago now, I was getting ready to leave for work one morning and she stood up to give me a kiss goodbye and while we were cuddling something cracked in her neck and she just collapsed unconscious, lucky for both of us that my hugs are super huggy ones and I managed to stop her falling to the floor.. Back then the ambulance was pretty quick getting there not like it is now, they were there in about 20 minutes.. A couple of years back I accidently stabbed myself in the wrist with some gardening secateurs ( I was fighting off a wild bear or some shit like that ) anyway, my wrist was pissing blood like a tap and when the missus called the ambulance they said it would be up to 2 hours before they could get to me!!! My neighbour kindly took me up there straight away and I had to sit in the emergency for an hour with my arm held above my head before they got to me.. Our services are in dire shape these days.. I might go as far to say I think it's a long term Tory plot to run it into the ground and then try and bring in the same type of system the Americans use saying it's the only sensible solution to the problem...
  4. They sure are taking their time announcing who our next manager is going to be... Also these rumours keep persisting that Boehly still wants to bring in a big name player to the club like Neymar who's name keeps cropping up recently... If something like that happens then the next manager can kiss goodbye to proper control of the team and also Boehly can fuck off, I would be proper fucked off if that twat joined us..
  5. I don't dispute feelings of individuals or their choices in life only at the age of 11 I doubt a child could make a rational life changing decision without truly understanding the long term consequences of their actions.. We are in a time where they can get swept up in social media coverage and latest trends or movements the same way they are influenced by fashion or gadgets for example except this is not something that you can just throw away or move on from because the changes they are being encouraged to go through are permanent life changing ones. By all means support a child if that's how they are feeling because shutting them down could cause more issues in the long term so would not support that but they need to be approaching this in a more sensible way especially when dealing with children of a certain age rather than just jumping on board with what they think they want...
  6. This is a sad state of affairs for me... Trans pupils put school policies to test amid heated debate in England (msn.com) How can an 11 year old really know there own mind at that age??? They have not even lived a teenage life and had all those experiences that come with it yet. If it was up to me I would have age barriers in place that prevent this sort of thing happening until they reach an age that could be considered more well rounded and have a more mentally mature outlook before embarking on such a life changing experience...
  7. I think they should hold off and start it from next season... 15 games should be enough
  8. They say that about every club that has a mega rich investor... In this day and age you can only hope to compete if you get a sugar daddy or a gulf state as an owner or you would be wallowing about in mid table or worse unable to finish in the top 6 for the rest of eternity. Once upon a time good clubs were built by decent managers who spent wisely and made shrewd signings but not anymore, now clubs can spend 600miliion and watch their season get flushed down the toilet and then come back a season later and do the same thing again with a different manager and different players hoping for a different result..
  9. Credit to Newcastle for doing it the right way... you could have gone and spent a shit load of cash and this may never have happened.. you only need to look at the Boehly experiment to see how badly wrong it can go... On the plus side for you lot as well is it makes playing for Newcastle a much more attractive proposition for players you may consider splashing the cash on in the future.. Given the amount of time you spent in the wilderness under Ashley it must feel good to have hopes and dreams restored...
  10. Looking that way... Whoever they finally decide on though they need to get moving with the appointment asap.. I am concerned that appointing Lampard has not only failed to inspire the troops as they had hoped but it does not allow another manager to come in and assess the squad before the summer window gets here..

I think @Stan may have been right John.. Us oldies will be left to fend for ourselves out in the nuclear wastelands until we eventually die off or become hideously deformed versions of ourselves... This government will do anything to get out of paying a pension...
