I’m part and parcel to having a mad time
  3. It’s like saying Oliver Cromwell was good for bipartisan relations in Ireland and England.
  4. I know how you feel, especially concerning having kids. I think the mental illness angle is really only considered in cases that the perpetrator is so far removed from reality they cannot understand what, or the implications of what they’ve done. For instance serial killers are obviously maladjusted but interviews from people like Dahmer have proof they understood what they were doing was wrong, knew it was wrong, but didn’t have any sort of empathy towards it, creating a disconnect with what they know and how they feel.
  5. I get very depressed due to homesickness and these incidents only compound the stress
  6. I’d just like to say that the Chicago police probably have very little to do with this case, as it didn’t happen in Chicago…
  7. Chicago has been unsafe since 1932
  8. Chicago police used to kidnap people and torture them at a warehouse on the near westside.
  9. hahahahaha, oh you were being serious
  10. When he was at Barcelona the coaches thought he was a CB/DM. Took ages for anyone to realise he was an elite attacking player.
  11. Last Night In Soho - I had some issues with minor contradictions and illogical happenings but this is a very entertaining Giallo inspired mystery-horror film. If you told me this was a Dario Argento film from 1982, I'd agree. Worth a watch if you liked Suspiria, Inferno, and other Giallo films.
  12. People think he was given the Barcelona team on a platter. He had the cajones to sell fucking Ronaldinho, Deco, and Eto’o to build a new team. Xavi and Iniesta weren’t considered elite yet, he brought in Pique, Alves, Busquets, Pedro, and many others. Comparing Rijkaard’s and Guardiola’s Barcelonas are night and day. I don’t even know why I am posting this again, and again, and again
  13. I don’t know how many times people on this site have to tell you how and why what Guardiola did at Barcelona and Bayern are so impressive, particularly the former. It is tiring, how many times is this same conversation had to be had?

Whenever people say this about sports it just says to me 'snooty, upper classism'
  15. What % of the TV deal does Brentford get? And what are the sponsors paying? That is the real money.
  16. That's nice. My family is in a union and there are only tangible benefits. Treat the workers better.
  17. It isn't surprising at all. They are culturally designed to have a double think concerning their country. The idea of tyranny and the USA revolution is drilled into their minds from birth, as if pledging allegiance to the flag and singing the anthem. So one part of their psyche says 'don't trust the government, always hold them accountable, you will take my guns from my cold dead hands' and the other part says 'USA is A-OK, greatest country on the earth, I will bootlick the government till my tongue is dry'. These are fundamentally opposed concepts but they both hold true in the minds of every American. Imagine being from a culture where the two fundamental truths are diametrically opposed. It's like being British and being told that tea is evil but also the best thing in the world while you drink ten cups a day.

Would he legally have to return the money? It isn't his fault, by all rights the money is his because they gave it to him, just because they made a mistake doesn't mean they should get their money back. Normal people don't get to redo a lot of shit, so why should companies be able to?
  19. The Republicans get paid by NRA, mining, and other lobbyist groups. They hate unions. The Democrats get paid by big tech, Google, Apple, and cosmopolitan think tanks. They hate unions.
  20. He is a fucking weirdo but I think he has helped people to a degree, so he isn't the worst. His whole schtick of take responsibility for things in direct affect of your life isn't the worst advice. Better listen to Jordan Peterson than Ben Shapiro for life advice, now conveniently located on the same website. His overall message isn't bad but he is fucking stupid for marketing it through the lens of incels, neckbeards, and angry young men that are limp wristed, even though those are the freaks he wants to help. He couldn't help those losers being a Tony Robinson 'the power is yours! be happy and strong' type.
  21. Here I was thinking I was a freak. We are freaks in common
