Honestly I think he was always the best option for Bayern. It's not like he performed poorly... Leverkusen were just an unbelieveable team this season. Squad still needs a major overhaul. Upamecano, Goretzka, Choupo-Moting, Gnabry all need shipped out. Probably some others.

Relegation playoffs for 2-3 Liga will go down to the last day of the season it seems. Either Preussen or Regensburg will represent 3. Liga while it could be either Hansa or Wiesbaden from 2. Buli. @Rucksackfranzose your lot will have something to say about who's in that match.
