  1. I still have 0 interest in these prequels because of how shit that final season was. Better make 'em good HBO, if you want me to watch.
  2. Well if anyone cares... the new gamemode on Gears' multiplayer "Escape" is FANTASTIC. It's co-op like horde, but it's much more fun (imo) - rather than horde mode which is generally just like a base defense type of game mode, escape is.... where you escape from a swarm hive - starting off with just a Boltok pistol and hardly any ammo.
  3. If we were the US's poodle before... I imagine now it's going to be something more of "we're the US's leashed gimp"

I think I’ve got my mids at 5 (or somewhere between 4 and 5 actually) and the tone on the pedal just at half. These tube screamer pedals give a pretty prominent boost to the mids so you might be good with how your setup is currently. But yeah, fuck around with it and experiment and see what tones you like best
  5. Honestly, now I think that the notorious war monger John Bolton was actually counseling Trump to show some fucking restraint on Iran - which quite frankly is unbelievable... but this timeline we’re on is unbelievable as fuck. John Bolton is sacked and now there’s what looks to be a false flag attack on the Saudi’s and the Saudis and Trump baying for war with Iran. But an administration that falsifies weather maps for hurricanes hitting the US shouldn’t be trusted. Especially on the issue of war in the Middle East. Also fuck the Saudis, they buy billions in weaponry from the US. If this attack was real why don’t they just fucking defend themselves? Oh that’s right, because even with their state of the art weaponry they can’t even put down a rebel uprising in Yemen because they’re too fucking inept. That’s why if they want to go to war with a real country, they’ll need the US to do it for them

Yeah isn’t it mental how pretty low gain makes for a really good high gain tone. The EQ settings you use are pretty close to what I use - but I don’t scoop the mids so much. My next 6505 tip would be... scoop the mids less and you will be surprised
  7. No idea, I always hated RAWK. It’s like the LFC equivalent of RedCafe, just filled with utter morons
  8. These new ad banners on my phone on here are fucking awful

No worries. I'll never put ads up that ruin the forum experience so if that ever happens, it ain't me!

  9. Nah, it can always get worse. Even Rupert Murdoch got worse over time.
  10. Yeah that's understandable. If you do any PC gaming though, they're on there as well.
  11. Started watching The Righteous Gemstones on HBO. Good series, I'm enjoying it so far.
  12. Wait where on earth in this post does it say this word: Isn't the topic being discussed Pogba? Why do you have to make it about yourself, mate? He's just disagreeing with you - there's nothing wrong with healthy debate. For the record, I think Pogba has a very tough job as he's basically asked to be the only creator at Manchester United. And the expectation is that they perform about as well as they did when their club was on top of the world... when I don't think many people would say the quality of the squad is even close. It's a big ask for one man. And when he's been successful in his career, he's been in very complete midfields with France and Juventus. I don't think you can call that midfield complete at all. Also if you watch a lot of last season, Pogba's trying to figure out who to play the ball to at times... and there's no fucking movement in front of him. So yeah, I think Pogba has struggled... but do I think all of his struggles are his own fault? Nah, I don't think so. But I also think it shows he's not the sort of midfielder who can consistently grab a match by the scruff of it's neck and singlehandedly have his team punching a bit above it's weight come the end of the season. And I think with some of the praise that's been thrown his way, you'd think he is that kind of player and I don't think that's the case. I think he's a good player in a complete midfield. I think he's an alright player when he's being asked to shoulder as much responsibility as he is currently, but with his supporting cast that makes it a big ask. And I think that's why he gets frustrated and sometimes has this body language like he doesn't fucking want to be there when he's on the pitch... which isn't exactly what I'd imagine is endearing to many Manchester United fans. That attitude, plus all the hype around him, I think brings a lot of pressure onto him and he's already being asked to do a lot in a midfield where I think he's under a lot of pressure to perform. Honestly, with where Manchester United are as a club right now... a midfielder like him on the wages he's on maybe isn't what they need. And I think the club right now isn't exactly what he needs, because there's loads of evidence of how good he can be in a midfield that's already been built up. But I think it's tough for them to cut their losses because of the amount of money they spent on him and how much he's paid... but the return on their investment I think wouldn't have many clubs thinking "yeah he was worth that, let's try to buy him at close to that value (or higher - which would obviously be ideal for the selling club, making a profit).
  13. A quality instrumental track imo
  14. I think Roman personally wanted Torres, like he did with Sheva
  15. Honestly we should all be holding Australia accountable for not aborting him/killing him as a child
  16. Gears of War: Judgement was CRAP. But the story is actually pretty decent if you want to learn about Baird/Cole's backstory - I'd recommend watching a YouTube video with the cutscenes all spliced together rather than playing that one if you wanted to catch up on that installment of the series. I played it because I love the games - that one made me doubt whether or not Gears of War 4 would be any good; they made so many gameplay changes and it really altered how the game felt to play. Gears of War 4 was more of a return to form for the series. I don't think it's anywhere near as good as the original trilogy, but gameplay wise it very much goes back to feeling like the old Gears of War games. The story is good and interesting, but I'll be honest... it's not as good as the first three. One of the reasons I liked the first three was, sure it's like a cheesy 80s action movie at heart - but they managed (imo) to make a pretty compelling story and getting you caring about the 4 lumbering hunks of meat that the story follows. In Gears 4 the characters I cared most about are the characters from the original trilogy. It's not a bad game though, I just don't think it quite reaches the same heights as the original trilogy. Gears 5 though is vastly improved to 4 (and again, I don't think 4 is bad or anything - I actually think it does a good job of setting up 5's superior story). But it's similar to 4 and the original trilogy in terms of gameplay. I've not beaten the campaign yet, I don't even think I'm that far into it tbh... I've not been able to play as much as I'd want to. But so far, I'm enjoying the game a bit more than I did with the previous one. It feels better written.
  17. I haven't played much of it... but I've been playing Gears 5 as of Friday. And if you like the Gears of War series... it's a good game. The campaign is pretty great, if you like that kind of game, and I've been having a lot of fun with some of the newer multiplayer modes. I think they've fixed a lot of the things that were criticised in Gears 4 - I don't necessarily think those changes were initially bad in Gears 4, I just think they've been implemented better in 5. And you don't have to fight those annoying robots, which didn't make the first bit of 4 feel quite the same as the other games in the series. I tried playing some co-op with my brother over the internet, but the lag was fucking horrible. Which is a shame because playing the original trilogy on split screen with my brother produced some of the finest video game moments I've ever had.
  18. How long's he out for? Tbh I think City will do fine even with a slightly more porous defense. That squad's able to deal with some challenges that might otherwise derail another side's season.
  19. Might want to check how long United waited before they won it under Fergie

  21. Isn't that a part of what he's talking about though? The people who've felt left behind by the government over the last few decades - voting for something that's probably against their best interests, but because it was a way for them to vote "let's tear this all down." Either because they've believed the scapegoating of the EU, or they think it'll hurt the middle class and the upper class... and then maybe that'll lead to policies being put in place that help these people that were left behind. In my own personal views, these people who are probably most vulnerable to the negative affects of Brexit that did vote to leave... for whatever reason they had in their head... they're not the smartest of voters. But there are a lot of people that vote emotionally and do things like spoiler votes and protest votes to let "the establishment" know their displeasure with the way the establishment has led. Personally, I think they'll find Westminster will continue to ignore the areas they've ignored for decades. And with less money to throw around the country, these communities will see even less of a fuck given about them by the government - regardless of whichever party is in charge.
  22. https://www.private-eye.co.uk/hp-sauce That's Aetna and Cigna that played a big part in dismantling community and not-for-profit healthcare in the U.S. in the 70s and 80s. Seems like a far cry from what was put on a few busses a few years ago though.
  23. I can't imagine Lingard playing better at a club where he'll be asked to do more. He's already not a productive player, giving him more responsibility and onus to create and score when he typically does neither of those things is probably just asking for a bad time.
  24. People on the right: CORBYN IS AN ANTI-SEMITE Also people on the right: https://metro.co.uk/2019/09/08/anna-soubry-saw-nazi-salutes-pro-brexit-rally-cancelled-speech-10706642/ Also I never really understood why British nationlists would use a German nationalist salute - particularly as our triumph over the Nazis is something that I can understand being proud of being British for. I suppose that's maybe giving them too much credit - I doubt they're cued up on history or really even think very much about what they do. And yeah, not everyone who's pro-Brexit is going to be a racist idiot. But the ones that scapegoat Muslims, Jews, Eastern Europeans, Indians, Pakistanis, Africans, etc... and blame them for them "being left behind" - when in reality it's been Westminster that's largely turned it's back on UK communities. Those are the ones I'll never take seriously.
