I was expecting less than top 6 by virtue of a rather underwhelming summer, that is not the concern. The concern is that the Howe football that got him sacked at Bournemouth is back, it borderline reckless with no semblance of role responsibility, it is cavalier football that sees us getting absolutely destroyed on the counter attack with massive overloads. I want the boring eddie back, the guy that watched simeone and made us really difficult to beat. It's what I like about Arsenal, they loathe conceding goals

Options are a bit skint. I heard a "rumour" about Tuchel however I dont think the plug will be pulled to soon if at all. I predicted a 7th or 8th place finish, however it is the nature of the football that is "alarming". It is Bournemouth Eddie back and not the Simeone one. Teams just play straight through us effortlessly

It is not a limitation on earning of a player, it is whether clubs can afford to oversaturate their teams with high earners, if you limit what a club can spend it will mean players will go to more clubs where they can get paid more or less what they want be it by dropping demands or another club having payroll flexibility to take that player on.

BBC were one of the earlier publications that went on about strained relations between how and Mitchell. It hasn't struck me that there is any proof of a fundamental break in relations. It was a frustrating summer but on the other hand you don't always get what you want and rather than just buying for the sake of it, holding out is the better option. Eddie Howe was projected as the first high profile sacking, not sure who's projection it was, may have been SkySports, the fallout of the Mitchell interview led to stories of a break down in trust that saw big debates on talksport about Howe getting sacked. There is no real option out there so I find it to be crisis acting.

There should never be handcuffing of investment, but to ensure there is no "buying titles" you impose salary caps of relative to market size which will stop hoarding of stars as one cant afford it. This model has worked well in MLB as neither the Dodgers or Yankees are automatics and even they have payroll flexibility issues. There is nothing stopping MLB players getting big paydays, the reality is that it is the clubs that are not willing to pay or cant afford to pay which is how it should be. The "restrict player earning arguement is stupid. If clubs cant pay they walk away and the player needs to find a club or drop demands that is equal bargaining power. It will encourage the growing of the brand but also allow prospective owners the chance to build their club

Eddie Howe, if the media is to be believed

Spring, it is warm but just before the summer where humidity hits 70-80% to go with the 35C+ heat.

I thought Everton had a decent summer window, but it has gone a bit tits up. If I recall they started shit last season as well then hit a purple patch.

Spurs have made to many clangers, richarlison for 65m, Johnson for 45m are steep overlays, the jury is still out on solanke, but that's potentially another overpay. They have made some good signings as well, so cant be overly critical. I think it's more the style of play that sees them getting sucker punched to often

PSR is bent, it also doesnt encourage takeovers by willing investors as; A) nobody can afford to buy a legacy club. B) Next teir clubs like Villa, Newcastle, West Ham, Everton are finite and anything below that is in the realms of low turn over small town clubs. Without PSR or less handcuffing may result in a slew of clubs being bought out by eager to invest owners If you want to regulate spending then make a 100m hard limit, any penny over results in expulsion from the caraboa and FA Cup, repeat offenders can get financial revenue share cuts and/or any other fair penalty following an outcome of adjudication.

Beetlejuice 2 - wait for streaming, it was not bad, but it was about as paced as the macabre undertow of the movie. It is a little bit slow even if you know what is happening. The acting is good and the movie has no facetious message, just a tried and trusted macabre them.

In a report released in May, had Hamas winning by nearly Putinesque numbers, at some point you can safely say they are in support of Hamas and that includes the west bank where the PLO who was charged with governance have spent 40 odd years lining their pockets at the expense of the people they were supposed to govern. Hamas were able to spread their ideology because of the failings of the PLO and now it is basically second to third generation indoctrination. After the 67 war, the territory of the West Bank formally under Jordan had no claimant and remains disputed territory, I don't agree with the rapid expansion and that their needs to be a ceasing of all movement until their can be formal meetings with an agreement on what is "Palastine", that cannot happen under Hamas or any other Jihadi group. You don't start trouble, get pushed back and play victim, it is all self inflicted and the number of militants in Gaza is insane, it is a militant enclave and why Israel needs to now destroy the Philidelphi corridor and the subterranean tunnels going into the Sinai and establish a new line to ensure nothing other than essentials go into Gaza, every consignment gets checked and weapons or components that may make weapons get confiscated. Per the latest report around 3 years of food and supplies have passed into Gaza, but without the UN and Israel not taking responsibility for distribution it is being stolen by Hamas who are holding gazans as media fodder for their next aggression.

Simon Whistler from Warographics did a video on the "death toll" of Gaza and highlighted the the stark differences between one report that went through every death, removed duplications and unconfirmed persons and the death toll is closer to 28000 and that includes militants which make up somewhere between 15000 and 20000 of that number. It is all smoke and mirrors, they are relying on dishonest actors in the media world to spread anti sentiment. Hamas wants the Philadelphi corridor back and withdrawal for a ceasefire, I guess there is going to be no ceasefire then. When Palastinians decide that Hamas is not for them, and make a move for positive change, then there can be talks, there can be no negotiating with a terror group. They are now into the next phase of desperation, executing hostages another war crime that the UN seems to be silent about.

League A - Matchday 1 & 2 - 5-10th September, 2024

What a goal and result for Italy -
Clubs should be able to spend what they want but constraints on wage caps which are proportional to revenue sort of like MLB. That will prevent signing rockstars as you cant sustain the loses on the wages eg: cant load a team with Mbappe, Bellingham etc and pay 500m in wages for a revenue stream that only supports 250m. If a team violates this first offense 1 window ban, second offense 3 window ban, 3rd offense relegation and the club placed under league administration to cut costs
