  1. Gerrard isn't going there. He's not good enough as a manager and I very much doubt he's even a reliable option for them. The only link is that he was a Liverpool legend on the field. Liverpool manager with their stature is the hot ticket for summer now. There'll be plenty of options and they have huge pulling power given the finances, facilities, top class players, assets etc. Why do you make things about you every time? 'this is my strong suit in football'. Stop it. You just said 'I am not an expert in how Liverpool operate' . Which is it? None of us are on here apart from the likes of @Mel81x @LFCMike @Rick @Dr. Gonzo
  2. Liverpool won't be so naive. Gerrard isn't good enough to follow Klopp.
  3. Game 93 - 30th Game 94 - 27th
  4. GAME 93 - LEICESTER vs SWANSEA - TUESDAY 30th JANUARY, 19.45 (GMT) GAME 94 - ASTON VILLA vs NEWCASTLE - TUESDAY 30th JANUARY, 20.15 (GMT) ***any predictions made after kick-off will not count*** @Mel81x @Lucas @6666 @Dr. Gonzo @Michael @Redcanuck @CaaC (John) @Devil-Dick Willie @JoshBRFC @Viva la FCB @Pyfish @Bluewolf @Tommy @Rucksackfranzose
  5. Game 91 only had the one goal, and it came in the second half in the 71st minute. No winners though. Game 92 had several more, and the first was much earlier in the 11th minute. Following are winners: 1 point 1 point 2 points Table after Game 92: @Michael jumps up 5 places into 6th after his two points, while @Tommy adds one to his tally. @JoshBRFC added the same, and joins a group of 5 other players on 11 points.
  6. Same. I don't think we'll give in, not this late in the window. Proper leaves us in the shit if they do force through a move. Ndidi injured, Casadei recalled, Praet AWOL, Dewsbury-Hall leaves. We'll have virtually no midfield left bar Winks.
  7. Bobb scores but given for offside. Replays show it could be very tight though.
  8. This would kill our season I wouldn't even have faith we'd sign the right players as replacements or investment in the rest of the squad.
  9. I can 100% guarantee you that they did not win the league the season he went in 2015/16.
  10. Top Scorer in the division to bag at home to a lower-league club. Mild amount of risk but worth it given Barnsley's form... Juventus top of the table at home to 19th-place. Juve have recently smashed Frosinone and Salernitana at home. Empoli concede nearly 2 a game away from home.
  11. It wasn't anything to do with his time at Dortmund. I wasn't aware of that, or if this was some kind of trend/approach. Also nothing to do with feeling special either. Just an observation. You can tell by how shocking/surprising this is across the Liverpool fanbase, let alone fans in general for the most part, that it is out of the blue.
  12. all kick-offs 14.30 (BST) unless stated Friday 26th January, 2024 Eintracht Frankfurt vs Mainz, 19.30 Saturday 27th January, 2024 Augsburg vs Bayern Munich Werder Bremen vs Freiburg Hoffenheim vs Heidenheim Stuttgart vs RB Leipzig Wolfsburg vs Koln Bayer Leverkusen vs Borussia Monchengladbach, 17.30 Sunday 28th January, 2024 Union Berlin vs Darmstadt Borussia Dortmund vs Vfl Bochum, 16.30
  13. all kick-offs GMT all games on TNT Sports Tuesday 30th January, 2024 Nottm Forest vs Arsenal, 19.30 Fulham vs Everton, 19.45 Luton vs Brighton, 19.45 Crystal Palace vs Sheff Utd, 20.00 Aston Villa vs Newcastle, 20.15 Wednesday 31st January, 2024 Man City vs Burnley, 19.30 Tottenham vs Brentford, 19.30 Liverpool vs Chelsea, 20.15 Thursday 1st February, 2024 West Ham vs Bournemouth, 19.30 Wolves vs Man Utd, 20.15
  14. This reminds me of when Pellegrini announced mid-season he was leaving Man City at the end of the season, and it helped mess up their race to the title. Probably earth-shattering news for Liverpool fans? One of those where they probably knew the day was coming, but didn't expect it to be mid-season. He surely goes down as one of Liverpool's greatest ever? First ever PL title, CL, growing the club in stature hugely. Big decision as to who comes in next. My money is on De Zerbi.
  15. Week 23 Results Swansea 1-3 Southampton Algeria 2-2 Burkina Faso Arsenal Women 2-1 Everton Women Forfar 0-1 Hibernian Schalke 0-2 Hamburg Central Coast 2-1 Melbourne City Trabzonspor 1-5 Galatasaray Zambia 1-1 Tanzania Lecce 0-3 Juventus Girona 5-1 Sevilla Round-up Two big scores from @CaaC (John) and @Viva la FCB means the chasing pack is still very close, with only 9 points separating 2nd to 5th. The latter did well to get 3 perfect scores in the process. @Bluebird Hewitt also scored very well with 17 points.
  16. The split-weekend fixtures seemed to make it difficult to predict, but it didn't faze one member in particular - @Rajabhat Rovers smashing in a score of 22 points. Only 6 perfect scores and he got half of them, one of them being a great pick of Newcastle 2-3 Man City. Another Prediction of the Week came from @CaaC (John), who managed to be the only one to guess Brentford 3-2 Forest. Do we have a title race on our hands? Quite possibly! Only 9 points separating @Dan, @6666, @Storts & @Rajabhat Rovers.

  18. £18.5 is a hefty fee to reject. But worthy of holding out for more... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68093730
  19. Debatable, because us and Leeds play in such a vastly different tactic way. He's quite clearly a decent player, and perhaps he's just not settled at Leeds as quickly (he seemed to start the season well?). Did he profit in a Swansea team that played more like us or how Leeds do?
  20. Algeria, Ghana and now Tunisia out of AFCON. Ivory Coast out if Zambia draw or win. Can't remember when so many bigger footballing nations exited the group stage.
