  1. Is it a moot point though? Manager comes in, gets you scoring, but leaky defence staying leaky is still a problem no?
  2. I seem to recall @Cicero mentioning this regularly. That and in-game management lacking, like making subs late or at the wrong time.

Doing well to have a job while at school mate. Keep going.

  5. Ahhh @Tommy, sorry mate. The very-well-respected, never-wrong and reliable @Happy Blue said you can't dispute the 17k deaths, so please stop what you're doing right now!

This T20 series between England and WI has been good. Some massive hitting last night. Brilliant ton by Rovman Powell. Surprised to hear he is only the 3rd WI player to get a T20 ton.
  7. I think I fall in the same category as @Danny, but some of the voting intention figures these day show the Tories are absolutely slaughtered through their own doing. Trust in government must have been a big thing because since all these breaches have been made public, those figures have plummeted. While that's only voting intention and not fully indicative of what may actually happen at an election, I have slightly more faith for the next one because of how much trust has been lost in the current government. Also agree with @RondónEFC - while I like Starmer, I agree he's not got that big a pull to be the PM in a lot of people's eyes. But he's getting there. I think the big point to make is for a long time anyone defending Tories would state 'yeah but if it wasn't us, you'd have Starmer in charge'. Before that it was Corbyn. These days, though, Starmer actually represents a sensible alternative - he's not perfect by any means but he is starting to show that he can be a reasonable choice if the Tories weren't in power. As they say though, it's the hope that kills you
  8. Ultimately, its a moot point in the grand scheme of things. Ultimately the fact Johnson was flagrantly and nonchalantly breaking the rules and denied doing so only a few weeks ago is the actual story. The timing of release of a story is only secondary.
  9. Come on mate, I think a lot of people will! But then that glass of wine (or two, or the bottle) finishes and then you begin to think who might take over... The positive out of all of this, mind, is that under Johnson a lot of the Tories seem to have shown their true colours. And Starmer/Labour have never been in a stronger position - they're in a good position while letting their opposition crumble off their own accord. That'll continue for the foreseeable, especially so the longer Johnson tries to hold out and save any amount of face.
  10. Yeah not having Johnson but having to choose from guff like Patel, Gove, Truss or Raab is like choosing to have your left hand cut off or your right hand. Johnson has all that exterior appearance to be embarrassed by on top of his prejudices, but then look how all of the above pretty much clamour to defend him instead of speaking out against any wrongdoings.
  11. Nigeria out of AFCON. Ndidi and Iheanacho coming back earlier than expected.
  12. I think it speaks volumes that she chose not to use the complaints process to be honest.
  13. Will love to see how the accusations from Ghani pan out for the Tories. They were (somehow) cleared of any wrongdoing in the inquiry into Islamophobia in the party. So if this gets taken seriously, like the Azeem Rafiq/Yorkshire inquiry, I suspect (and at least, hope!) there'll be some severe consequences for the Tories. There's been other claims that Muslims almost avert going into the party because they are told their faith will get in the way.
  14. Happy to take my chances. Vaccines may have done you more harm than good and that's fine. Doesn't mean it's the same for everyone but the figures and facts (i.e. general evidence) show vaccines have prevented serious harm or death on a worldwide scale .
  15. If that is true that it was Xhaka then he needs to be fined a hell of a lot and banned for a considerable time. Got no time for players match fixing.
  16. Think Klopp takes a break after Liverpool. Feel like he said as much a while back? Apologies if wrong.
  17. Hope the leaks come through for anyone who takes over. My worry is that whoever replaces Boris will be just as embarrassing and out of touch
