  1. Haven't had any side effects from my booster couple days ago barring a sore arm.
  2. The fact you just have to continually mention such misery and doom and gloom. Cases in point above. I don't see much 'fear factory' or 'doom and gloom' on here. In fact quite the opposite. Your pessimism knows no bounds.
  3. Get well soon mate, hope you don't get any bad symptoms.
  4. Misery loves company right? Funny how good news is always complimented with such misery.
  5. Worst secret santa ever, they all found out who gave it! Lewis didn't bother. Miserable git
  6. I know it's not the point you're making, but nurses start on approx £20-24k/a.
  7. Saw he released a COVID song on Insta or TikTok though . Cringe.
  8. Harrowing to hear of the Deputy Headteacher at a school in Wigan was found to have committed child sexual abuse and raped a girl. As bad and tragic as that is, she was also a Safeguarding Lead. Someone who'd have known of the dangers and impact of such cruel and vile behaviour from adults on young children. And she was a perpetrator of it while being in an elevated level of trust. These humans are utterly vile. Depraved and disgusting.
  9. Having said that, the hospitalisation rates currently don't seem to tally up (with the data we have so far) with it being a disease that can cause severe illness and strain on NHS. I heard (and haven't verified it, don't shoot me) that only 5% of NHS beds are currently taken up with COVID patients (and I'm willing to bet a lot of these are unvaccinated...?). While it might be a threat to NHS, the optimist in me sees that if it's less severe or impacting than Delta, then it correlates to there being less of a chance that it does make people severely ill?
  10. This is me while you have all the fun in F1.
  11. same difference. cars round a track and all that jazz
  12. Did they count Hamilton's helmet costs for when Max ran over it at Silverstone? Wonder how much he invoiced them.

  14. Especially you! I heard you were crying most nights when you saw @Toinho wasn't logging on...
  15. This resonates with the current COVID situation. Written by Alt-J in the midst of the pandemic and the effect of losing a loved one...
  16. It is odd he didn't get punishment. I agree with what your assistant said this morning though - players make mistakes and get punished, managers make mistakes and get punished. Referees do it and almost escape punishment and are back reffing barely a few days later in some cases. The lack of culpability after a series of errors across the officials is what angers me the most. I can accept that people will make mistakes, but to not learn from them is where the issue lies. And that goes beyond Tierney or any other individual on the pitch - it's a heated environment which requires split-second decisions (VAR should rectify that but misuse of it needs to be worked on). It's the lack of guidance from above them i.e. Mike Riley at PGMOL. He's not fit to lead that team and there needs to be a change in how officiating is done in this league/country. While I agree Tierney made mistakes at the weekend, he's not the only one and there is a bigger picture here. He'll take the flak while his seniors hide away.
  17. When you think of the shit that previous ministers get for muddling up their figures...
  18. When Boris announced last week about the new targets it was jam packed and the site broke. Managed to get one for tomorrow, though, where I am. Had a decent amount of availability.

Therein lies a lot of the England issues. These players with fairly big reputations aren't delivering (although I did feel sorry for how Buttler got out given he was putting up a decent resistance at the time). They can't only rely on Root forever. Root might as well promote himself to being an opener considering how early he is having to come in every single innings. I thought England would put up way more of a fight, and didn't think it'd be a whitewash. But think I may have to change that now. Can't see England winning a test as they just don't have 4 or 5 solid days play in them. 1 day here or there just won't cut it. The lack of preparation probably doesn't help but even if they did have a couple of warm up games I don't think it'd have changed much.
  21. BitCoin is making its way into the game... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59701285 Somewhat conflicted in this as I don't agree with non-football personnel taking charge and owning football clubs. Doesn't sit right with me and it's a cancer that happens at the elite level, let alone at this very low level of the game. So maybe now it's become unavoidable. But on the other hand, this is my hometown and if someone is trying to increase the reputation of the town, and effectively 'put us on the map' in footballing terms, then who am I to go against that? The new owner says he's 'surrounded himself with football people' to help him run the club, so I just hope for his sake, but more importantly the club's sake, that it's not a wasted venture. It would be interesting to see how things pan out if they do get promoted and come up against the 'bigger' Bedford Town FC.
  22. Spurs, to their probable satisfaction, have been kicked out of Europa Conference League. Rennes awarded a 3-0 victory.
