  1. Don't be silly. Just a normal tackle mate. Obviously. Happens every game. Fofana should have just got straight back up.

Definitely. I need to keep reminding myself of that as well, that it's a learning curve. I'm an Area Housing Manager. So now managing a team of 5 Housing Officers. Before I joined a lot of current managers and colleagues said that most of management is now what you know but just managing people and expectations. Definitely feeling that at the moment. In our general department it's absolutely manic right now - people off on sick, leave, family emergencies etc. In what is already a very busy environment, it's made worse when just a few people go off for any reason. Exacerbated a lot by pretty my triple that usual amount and some of it sudden. Times like this you just need to pull together and get through it. Hopefully come out the other side at some point not feeling too dead
  3. Weirdos. It's a fucking dirty challenge in a friendly. Not necessary at all. He's scissored his leg and it was totally unavoidable. 100% that happens to an Everton player and you would not have the same reaction. Not saying Kabak is mate but right now we only have Soyuncu as a reliable CB. Evans is injured, Amartey isn't that great, Nelson is very young despite highly-rated.
  4. I think we'd be extremely fortunate to see him this season. Tarkowski's price probably just inflated a little. I think even getting someone like Cahill on a free would be worthwhile. At least until Evans comes back. We've been heavily linked with Kabak, too.
  5. The absolute cunt that is Fer Nino. Utterly disgusting as you say. Revenge for a small tackle Fofana did moments earlier. Nino did the standard Spanish thing of writhing around as if suffering an injury that Fofana did. Then comes back on totally fine and does that. It's fucking horrendous. Actually sickened me watching it. Clear ankle or leg break by looks of it.

Bumrah delivering again. England collapsing in emphatic fashion once again. Very rarely can they hold an innings from start to finish any more.

    Sounds like somewhere @Batard lives.
  8. Relieved as well and glad to hear you're getting better. I'd be careful of the effects of long-COVID though. Especially if you were to undertake any kind of activity. Have you taken another test to make sure you're not still risking transmission to others?

Thanks, but have been to Edinburgh before not too long ago. Any info on Dublin...?
  10. Still getting used to Premier League standard. Finding your feet...

Mrs and I may be looking for a short trip away next summer. Flights to Dublin extremely cheap so looks like this is top of the list. Any tips on best areas to stay? Things to do? Places to eat/drink?
  12. I feel like there's not enough circus-esque activity going on at Newcastle. Should everyone else be worried?
  13. Very glad to hear they're okay and no life-threatening injuries for any. Considering the speed and impact of the crash its a miracle no one has such injuries.
  14. I don't think anyone likes -30. Bit too cold probably.

Nice! I'd love to get to a position where I don't have to work a full week and still afford all the mortgage and bills etc. How does the 3-day week work as a teacher? I interviewed people for a job for the first time ever last month as part of my new job and you get a totally different perspective. Was actually a bit odd to get used to. I guess you have to be really on the ball and have good attention to detail as to what the interviewee is saying and try and read through the lines or any bullshit if possible. I totally get the decisions thing as well. My new boss has basically given me the green light to just make decisions as long as I can justify them sensibly and with the right processes followed.

If you're already having these doubts then until you get more info about it or get convinced by whoever, I'd steer clear. I'm sure there's no obligation to do it so you shouldn't feel bad if you decline. The current employment agreement is probably the least of your worries in terms of making your decision. Probably just some declaration of interest thing to fill out. Agree with @Rab. It's something you'd need to be fully sure of doing (and you don't sound like you are!) but while you're contemplating that anyway, always good to take care of yourself and protect yourself. And if that means avoiding investments that don't sound too worthwhile, so be it!
  17. Liverpool have done pretty damn good in this respect. PL and CL in the last few years despite having a much lower net spend than several others.
